We Are Going to the Circus

It's a balmy 4 F with a -12 F wind chill. The sun is shining out of a glorious blue sky. It's actually warmer than it was when I checked the weather this morning at 0 with a -19 wind chill. I didn't go to the pool this morning because they were also talking black ice, and at 4:30 in the morning when you can't see ice in the dark, I stayed home. I'll go tomorrow when the weather will be better. This is the only day this week we aren't getting snow.
So, when it warmed up my friend and I took her car, she told me to drive, and we went to get the circus tickets. 
It will be $7 to park in the Lambeau Field parking lot. I told her I would pay for parking and souvenirs. She told me to hold onto the tickets so they wouldn't get lost.
We then went shopping. She needed a little bit of food and I needed water. I had four bottles left. I now have 48 as they were on sale, not Ice Mountain that I normally buy but the Kroger brand, 2 for $5. Ice Mountain had 12 for $4.49. Kroger had the better deal. That and bananas, and what she needed and we are now home.
So, we are both excited about Saturday. It will be an awesome day.

We are looking forward to it. I'm not sure whose car we're taking yet, or who will drive. I have a feeling I'll be driving her car. She prefers me to drive when the weather is snowy outside, and it could be on Saturday, though it should be finished by the time we go.

@Courtlynn She said her insurance covers other drivers. I know I couldn't do it. My insurance doesn't cover anyone but me.

@just4him it's nice she lets you drive her car, and that you aren't afraid to. I know many who wouldn't let others drive their cars, or drive someone elses - in case something happens. Which is how my boyfriend is.

The circus should be great fun. Do you have a favorite performer? I always liked the trapeze or other aerial acts. The skill and courage involved to perform such high-flying feats is truly amazing!

@just4him Animal acts have been under attack by PETA and other groups. I don't know how valid their claims really are? But, like you I always enjoyed the animals too. They are part of circus history.

how fortunate to've a friend to go'n do thingies such's this with :) i still can't wrap my head 'round bottled water? i hope the weather 'tis kind to y'all come saturday. nope, nothin' special planned here, 's 'tis the norm.

@just4him i reckon i'd be spoiled coz i can't drink that bottled schtuff nor city water. i've a well 'n take me plenty 'f water to gimme where i'm goin'. when i used to do long hauls, i'd've 'bout 20 gallons with me, lol.

I never liked water growing up. It tasted awful. I could taste every mineral in it. My mother said I was being silly about water. It wasn't until I was married and needed water that we got one of those cooler things with the five-gallon water jug on top that I started drinking water. It took a long time even then. The guy who brought us water threatened to cut our account if we didn't start drinking it. I started to drink it more. When we moved we changed to bottled water. I only drink tap when I make tea. I can't drink tap water otherwise.
