Do you still write letters (or postcards)?

For many, many years the habit of writing letters dominated the world (basically because it was the easiest and most popular way of communicating). But with the advancement of technology, this habit has gone out of fashion...However, it still has its fans scattered around the world. Would you be one of them?

I used to send and receive a lot of handwritten letters. I still receive one handwritten Christmas card every year. Every once in a while I send a card to friends, but it doesn't happen very often, I mostly write emails.

@WiseGhots I also reiceive a snail mail letter from another friend every year in December. It is not handwritten, she writes it on her computer and prints it, but it is still nice to find a real letter in the mailbox instead of bills

@WiseGhots I will. I need to let the Post Office know they have a reason for being.

Today I seldom write a letter or postcard because it takes longer time on the way. Why not use email or e-card instead? They work better.

@WiseGhots I don't regard it as "cold", actually I find it very environmental

Those are great options. But some people consider them as "cold" (if you know what I mean).

@WiseGhots But I agree, those memorable days, waiting for the Postman to get a letter, hearing his bicyle bells we eagerly run out of home to know whose letter is there (that time our elder sister works abroad and letters are the main communication method).

@WiseGhots Yes, I have someone that does not have a computer so she writes me letters and I write her back. I owe her a letter.

@WiseGhots I wish she had a computer but since she doesn't this is the way we do it. I owe her a letter and have to write soon.

My handwriting is terrible and I only use it to jot notes for myself. For those who I have to send letters to because they have no PC I write the letter on my keyboard, print it out, and then send it to them.

I used to write fan letters to the late Donna Summer (1948-2012) in my high school years. I only write letters on a small time basis these days.

I write letters at Christmas. I'd be happy to write letters but first you have to find someone to write to!
