Have you ever tried truffle pesto?

I've had pesto dishes many times at restaurants and used it at home as well.
I've never seen or tried truffle pesto before so when I saw it at Home Goods I bought a small bottle.
It was sitting in my pantry untouched but I finally chose to use it last night.
We made gnocchi for dinner (not from scratch) and I put the truffle pesto on it, along with some shredded Italian cheese blend I bought at Lidl.
The dish turned out really good.
There were leftovers so I am gonna enjoy some right now for my late lunch.

Well no I have not but aren''t truffles frightfully expensive? Sounds so tasty and I would love it I am sure.

@TiarasOceanView I can get regular pesto for much cheaper. But I think for the truffle one it is a good price.

Truffles are expensive. I remember not that long ago we went to an Italian restaurant in Eately for dinner and we got summer truffles to go along with one of the dishes. Cost us $30 for a small quantity. Don't remember exact weight. The truffle pesto cost me $4.99 plus tax. Not that bad I think price-wise.

Thanks. I did. Wish there was more left over than what I had. Didn't fill me up.

It is. The label says to consume within 15 days of opening. I can't do that unless I eat the truffle pesto by the spoonful.
