Great start to my birthday

It is storming here and surprisingly work closed for the day so I got my birthday off with pay. Gotta love that!! Well actually I did end up going to work because I was already there when my boss called to tell me that we weren't going to open today so I didn't have to go in. There was me and one of my coworkers already there so we stayed a few hours and got caught up a bit. Just got home...going to enjoy the rest of my day.
My fiance is making me a cherry cheesecake. He is suppose to work tonight but I guess we will wait and see what happens by the time he is suppose to go in. We are expecting up to 15in (40cms) of snow.
Enjoy your day..I know I am going to enjoy mine.

Happy birthday Laurel! I'm looking out of my window and watching the snow fall.....fast and furious. The walk to the post office a little while ago revealed that it was also a bit windy.
I'll take the snow though. Those tornadoes in the south are much more frightening.
Thursday I pick up my daughter and her little one (my beloved Sandra) in Halifax for a 4 day mini vacation. I'm looking forward to lots of cuddles.

@Happy2BeMe we received about 20-25 cm.....that was what was forecast. The wind blew it around enough that it's hard to measure accurately....but it's pretty and white outside.
Hubby cleared the driveway and the plows cleared the streets. They did have to work to get the corner cleared.

Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Laurel. Getting to go home and having the rest of the day off is wonderful but it stinks that you had to go to work at all.

That's reat they actually closed! Though would've been better if they had done so before you got to work.. but at least you got caught up a bit. And now you can spend the rest of your day, and birthday, doing whatever fun things you like!
