Flooding

My friend just called me because flooding in Green Bay and surrounding counties is so bad, schools are closed, streets are closed. You can't get through.
I took several pictures from the newscast showing the flooding in just one area of Green Bay showing the barriers up as the streets are closed to traffic due to the flooding.
My friend and I were in that same location yesterday when she showed me where I would be meeting with my publisher.
Now the question remains, will we be canceling the worship service we have tonight due to the flooding. If the roads are closed, it's possible.
They're even evacuating some places because it's so bad. I haven't seen it this bad since I've been here. We've had flooding, but this is the worst I've seen it.
We expected temps to rise to 55 F yesterday but only got to 50 F. It was enough to melt many inches of snow and cause the widespread flooding taking place throughout Northeast Wisconsin and no doubt throughout the state. We've had 69.5 inches of snow all year, and as of last weekend, we still had a foot of snow on the ground. This morning showed four inches remaining. There's lots of grass showing everywhere.
This is just one picture I took off the TV this morning.
How is your day? Thanks for reading.

Outside my door, no. But when I went out to get to the mall yesterday to get my eyes tested, many roads were closed and we took the long way to get there. Many people, not far from my location were evacuated to the high school that is a couple of blocks from me.

That sure is a huge flooding problem. Glad you seem safe where you are.

@Courtlynn Yes, it would. I've never needed to, and I hope I never do.

The flooding will be starting in many places as the temperature warm up and the snow melts. Judging from what is happening in your area, it might be a bad year in many places.
The temperature is 48 F which is comfortable here but the winds are strong which may make it cold. I'll be going out a bit later and feel first-hand what it's like outside.

Yes, the wind can make 48 feel cold. Though at this time of year, 48 is comfortable.
Yes, we have widespread flooding. The governor declared Green Bay and Northeast Wisconsin a state emergency. I'm sure it's statewide as the whole state is/was under a flood warning.

A lot of roads are closed. Evacuations took place, and the governor declared it a state of emergency. With the sun out today, I'm hoping the flood situation abates quickly.
I did get to church last night for a wonderful night of worship.

I hope you are not affected much in your area. It is hot in here and no rains since November I think.

Many streets are closed close to me. Some evacuations also on my side of town. Where I am, it's okay.

Oh, that is awful. That is one of my fears. Luckily, I have never been in a flood.

That flooding looks pretty bad. Guess you'll have to wait and see about getting to your worship service tonight.
All our snow is gone but of course we didn't have anywhere near as much as you had.

The worship service was awesome. No flooding on the way there, we took the highway. I could see that the low people count was no doubt because of the flooding. There were still a lot of people there.
Your puppies must be happy the snow is gone so they can get out and do their business.

Wonderful weather in Tennessee. I have heard of billions of dollars of flood damage in only two states in the Midwest.

I don't know what the dollar factor is here. There's still flooding in Wisconsin and looking at the weather map, the Mississippi River is also flooding in most areas.

Hope the flood waters abate quickly for you and not much damage is done. The sun has been in and out here, overcast right no as you feel that cold front sliding by though you wouldn't call low 60s highs and mid 40s low where you are. We are not having meeting tonight as the leader's sister who lives in Tampa wanted her with her as she get results from tests to determined if she can be a candidate for a liver transplant.
