I got my Learner's Permit!

For the past few weeks I had been studying for the first phase of getting my driver's license. Here, the first part is to pass a Theory Test. You can practice all of this online. And I did just that. There are 11 quizzes online to practice on and I did them over and over as well as write certain things down to remember and asked my dad for help when I needed it.
I practised over and over to the point I was getting all the questions right. Each quiz has 30 questions. To pass the real Theory Test, you have to get at least 24 questions right out of 30.
So on Friday I went down to the Licensing Centre, sat for my test and I passed! You get given 35 minutes to complete the test on a computer but I finished mine within 2-3 minutes. When I went to the counter, the woman told me I got a perfect score. I got 30 / 30.
She also told me that a perfect score isn't really common so that made me feel even better.
So now I am allowed to drive on the road but only with someone else who has a full licence. In 6 months time I can go back to do another test called a Hazards Perception Test and then I think I can do the actual driving test after that. So for now I have my Learner's Permit.
I know I have only passed the first part so far but I am just happy with myself because I held off doing this for so many years thinking I couldn't do it. But I did.

@JohnRoberts It sure will!
@playertwo Though I do agree with you but the type of freedom I can now have is driving whenever I like instead of relying on public transport or other people. I'm less restricted when having a car of my own.

I think it's more or less the same in all EU countries.

Congratulations Dani! You're well on your way to getting your license! You better warn everybody to stay off the sidewalks now that you'll be driving soon!
One thing I gotta know....how in the world did you make it this far in your life without having a driver's license? I got my learner's permit at 15, and my regular license at 16, and I've never looked back!

@VivaLaDani13 It just caught me by surprise, because ever since I've known you, I never knew you didn't have a license or that you didn't drive. But then again, it's not anything we ever talked about!

@moffittjc Thank you so much!
lol yeah sidewalks seem like the better way to get around!
I've been using public transport for many years. I don't really mind it. As long as something gets me to where I need to go, then I'm happy. But having my own car will be great. Don't have to reply on anyone else.

I forgot congratulating you when you told me about this on facebook. Distracted by the other stuff you told me. Congrats dude. Finally. I know you have been wanting to do it for awhile.
The procedure here (its copy pasted)
Live 18 years on this planet.
Go to RTO.
Fill out the required forms.
Get a good photo.
Give learner's exam.
Get 6 questions correct.
Receive the learner's license, which is basically a sheet.
Drive around as you want. Don't get caught by the police.
Live one more month on this planet.
Enter RTO office.
Fill out the necessary forms.
Wait.
Give the practical test
If it's 4 wheeler, just turn, climb a hill, reverse. Done.
If it's two wheeler, just do a slalom.
Pass.
Go home.
Live one more week on this dying planet.
Welcome to postman. Give him water, sweets.
Enjoy driving.
Please drive a manual.
Bye.

@VivaLaDani13 LOL! It's okay. It won't cost you anything. However, I don't think it is necessary to sign in to read anything there. You just can't post anything without signing in. Much like myLot.

i love the picture!
congratulations on getting your learner's, that's a big step and not everyone can say they've made it that far. it's something to be proud of, being able to drive is a very freeing feeling. enjoy, be safe, and good luck on the main driver's test!

@isweartokira Failing is ok.
It's the "keep trying" part that makes me feel happy when people do it. Though, I often go into the give up mood. Due to depression really and lack of confidence. I'm glad you got there! That's great! And thank you kindly!

@VivaLaDani13 i completely understand. i failed the written part the first time i tried and it discouraged me from trying for three years! take your time, make sure that YOU feel safe and comfortable driving. even if you go past the minimum required practice hours. i know you'll do well, you got this :)
