I am all for people wanting to eat Healthy and to get their body down to an ideal weight if they can. But many times I see people now a days not worried about weighing 400+ pds or on the other extreme going from like 210 at like 5'8 for women to like 145 and almost can see their ribs. Especially with those who are in to kickboxing. I guess I can understand when you are younger, and if your Health can put up with this, but many I now see are in their late 40s early 50s. I am sure shows like Biggest Loser inspired some of this, but do they check in with Doctors to make sure this is good for them? Personally due to being Diabetic a lot of mine is from all the medications I take that cause swelling or now with the Cellulitis etc. I did go from 240 to like 164 when I was sick but my Sugar levels were also over 500 all the time. U am back to 200 because of swelling and working on getting my Health better to help stop some of this. But to me, I was too thin at 164 and felt too thin. I have a family with eating disorders so I know what feels best Do you think more people need to find a middle or seeing this opposite extreme to almost skeleton skinny looks better? ~~TINA~~

People need to worry more about their health than what they look like in clothes. It's more about being healthy than anything. I've heard of this woman who exercised way too much and was too skinny. Another who drank ACV every day to lose weight. That kills your insides. People should definitely find a medium or just concern themselves with eating healthy and being as active as they can be.

For sure. When you have the people who continue to get heavier as well as those who allow themselves to look to thin, you can only wonder do they ever get checked Health wise to be told what is going on to bring some sort of awareness

@KrauseHome Some do not want to be told. My sister, who is too thin, wouldn't listen to a doctor I am sure of it.

I think the issue is two-fold. First, "pop culture" tells people that the Twiggy look is "cool." Secondly, the bullying words used ("fat," "slob," etc.) are not good for a person. Do people overdo it when trying to lose weight? Certainly. We have to remember, though, that we didn't gain all that weight in a day, so we're not going to lose it in a day, either!!

True, but people need to do things to a degree that is still Healthy and good for them. Many times allowing yourself to overdo something like loose too much weight etc especially with not checking with a Doctor to make sure you're still healthy might not always be the Best as well

Yes then there is the opposite of losing too much weight and being unhealthy in the other realm and it really makes you wonder why someone can let themselves go like this

That skeleton look is due to the media. I think seeking a weight that is appropriate for one's height and age are much more healthy. I also try to stick to the charts and BMI. In my opinion, being a bit on the thin side is much healthier than being overweight. It lessens the risk of heart troubles, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.

Then there are people like me due to Health issues lost a lot of weight due to being Diabetic and it turned out to be dangerous as my BS was over 500, so I feel it is Best to come up with a plan that works best for you and a Dr. and make sure you're Healthy while you're doing this

Everyone should strive to be at a healthy weight. What is healthy for me is probably more than the charts say I should weigh, but I have a lot of muscle on me.

Same here... Especially due to my height, etc. If I weighed as little as some of the Charts say I would blow away

People should check with a Doctor to see what weight they should go down to.

That is for sure because with many other things loosing too much can possibly be just as dangerous for sure

Even though I do not feel the age I am right now I realize I will never be teenage skinny again. I am not terribly overweight just say, chubby. I do not eat to excess and sometimes get by with one meal a day. I do not worry about my weight. I go walking, I eat a little here and there and life is good.

I personally do not look like I weigh as much as I do which is a Good thing. I do have a tummy and most of that is due to being Insulin diabetic. But I feel as long as you are not too thin or too heavy, then I am OK

I think we all have a weight that is best for us and that we can maintain relatively easily.

Yes that is true, and many would be better off if they chose to keep with that instead of trying to push it too low when it comes to loosing.

@KrauseHome I think so too. I'd like to be a little bit lighter but it is really hard for me to get any lower.
