Rise and shine!

My husband and I arrived at our daughter's house in Charleston, SC yesterday. I didn't sleep well, so I've been awake for over an hour, waiting for everyone else to get up.
Our son in law has a semi-rock band and they played at a venue last night. We babysat our grandson and their new puppy Saint, a Golden Retriever (we're not into staying out until 2am!)
So everyone is sleeping late except me. I am tempted to start rattling some pots and pans and start cooking breakfast.
Looking forward to supper tonight...they're taking us to Lewis BBQ, a fantastic place that specializes in wood smoked meats.
Probably going to Costco for a few things, but mostly just hanging out and enjoying being together.
I think I hear someone stirring....see 'ya!

@1creekgirl oh, i would love to start with sausage and biscuits then end with coffee and pastry.
so what's the main meal there - lunch or dinner?

I usually make sausage and biscuits, but no one really eats breakfast here, so we just had coffee and a pastry.

One of the reasons I do not like to go to other peoples places to stay. I wake up usually at silly O'clock whilst the others sleep on for another couple of hours. I do enjoy the tranquility though!

@1creekgirl My grandchildren stayed here last night and my daughter and her husband turned up to cook them breakfast as it was mothering Sunday here. My what a feast they had!

I had one of those nights too!! I woke up wide awake, turned over to see that it was a quarter to two in the morning!! Nothing to do and no where to go!! :(
