Do you ever have trouble trying to think of something to write about? I know I do and I did this morning. I don't know why because I have been gone so long that you would think I could write for a year with no problem. But for some reason my mind is not awake yet even though it is 8:30 in the morning. I guess it could have something to do with being up since 2:30 am. My feet just won't let me sleep too much later than that as they start hurting around that time. Anyway, I got off topic. I use a couple of things to help me come up with stuff to write. Most of the time I just start writing like I am doing this morning and ideas come to me. Other times I go on a site like Pixabay and look at pictures hoping something will click. If all of that doesn't work, I just won't write anything that day. Do you get writers block? What things do you do to help?

That can happen very easily, but I have so many things to write about, that it's impossible. Oh, the stories I have.

Dianne, some of those stories are best left untold! Like that one time you and I went... Oh wait, sorry, we promised we would never tell that story to anyone!

It's a full month that I cannot find anything to write. When I think to something immediately after I think that nobody could be interested in reading. It happens.

@LadyDuck I may do it a lot more now that I know from you that you can make the same amount either way.

I feel that way too sometimes. During those times, I don't write but still interact with everyone

There are lots of days that I cannot think of anything to write, so those are the days (like today) that I read. And I find its very enjoyable.

It's not that I get writer's block, it's just that I often think I don't have anything interesting going on in my life to write about. Which I know is not true at all, but I still feel that way a lot. And sometimes I just don't have inspiration to write, but mostly it's because I am so far behind on my notifications that I don't want to write any new posts until I catch up on my notifications. For instance, at the beginning of the day yesterday I had over 400 notifications to get through. It can be very daunting. But I've got it down close to 200 now. If I ever catch up, then I can focus on writing new posts.

I am often the same way, thinking that I don't have anything interesting to write about or not having the inspiration to write. That's a lot of notifications. You must be a very popular guy

That's really stopped you from posting something, Jeff? BTW, I have found the cure for getting so many notifications! You may not realize it but I've been editing ten manuscripts for a newer author during the last three or four months. My notifications have fallen off to only 30 yesterday. Down from 250 a day six months ago. It's not something I really recommend, because it sure makes a person feel lonely and forgotten! I've still got four more books to edit, so I shouldn't whine about wanting more notifications or attention from myLotters until I can be here regularly again... *sigh*

That does help a lot of the time. With writes block, the more your try to think of something, the more you can't.

I can always find a subject to write about. It took me a long time to figure out how to do that.... When I have nothing in my brain to write about, I just look at my photos.

It happens to me all the times. Suddenly an idea pops at the time when I have so many things to do and I am not able to write. And when I sit down to write, that idea would have evaporated and I keep scratching my head.

I agree with @arunima25, @Nickzter1331, and @LadyDuck. My home life could get so busy so that I might not have time to post once I may get a chance to sick down and post something. I get many ideas but they fade for me later unless I write them down. Then I would get bouts of writer's block. It's a frustrating cycle for me. Sometimes watching tv or listening to music can spring up ideas, though @simone10
