Weird thing happened at Whole Foods with the dried cranberries I bought

I went to Whole Foods for some coffee and while I was there I decided to get some dried cranberries that you put into a bag in the amount you want and then weigh.
The tag on the cranberries said they are $4.49 a pound. When I weighed them on the scale and printed the price sticker the price per pound showed $3.79 and the total came out to $1.52. I thought maybe they were on sale or something.
After checking everything out and paying, I looked at the receipt and saw that the dried cranberries were $4.49 per pound. But the total price was still $1.52 because the weight amount was less than on my price sticker. I wonder how and why this happened and what the weight of my dried cranberries really is.

If you paid less than you thought, then it was a good thing?

What I paid turned out to be the same as the price on the sticker I printed, so I am not really sure if I paid less or not.

That is weird!! I see you like to add them to salads. I'll have to try that! I usually add to chicken salad. Love dried cranberries!

When I do a salad with lettuce, tomato, bell pepper, etc... I always add it. I've also started adding dried coconut.

Well, the total came out to the same price - when cashier scanned it and when I weighed it and printed the sticker for her to scan. So not sure I saved anything or got more for my buck.

Sorry about your dried cranberry dilemma. I'm curious as to how you will use them. In baking? I hope you have a good rest of the day.
