Here is the final series additon of my favorite songs celebrating the days of the week and the artists who recorded them. See if you can name these song titles. The songs have Sunday as part of their title! Well, I don't know about you but sometimes there are just not enough days in the week for me to get everything I want to done. If only we could have an extra day. Yes, eight days would be perfect no matter what were doing. And to echo that sentiment is this terrific music video from The Beatles who would like another day for more loving... Give it a listen! Hope you enjoyed that musical video. And now it's quiz time, Whodunnit? Do you know these songs and artists? 1. Usually parks are great places to be on a day off with those you love. In this case not so much. According to the band member who wrote this song, it was based on his breaking up with a girlfriend. This tune was released as a single, but the other side of the 45 record or B-side song did much better, reaching #1. That song was called "Black Water," recorded during the groups rock period from 1970-75. With the addition of Michael McDonald in 1975 the band's sound changed to more blue-eyed soul. Fun fact: The group's name came from a slang term popularizied in California for a marijuana joint. 2. The title of this song could be a reference to a day in Ireland where 13 people were killed at a civil rights protest. The artist's lyrics in this tune are about interpersonal struggles and the atrocities of war. This 80's single became one of the band's signature songs, one which contained a military drumbeat and passionate melodies. Members of the band had various nicknames, the guitarist went by the name "Edge" due to the shape of his chin. The band collectively and individually are known for their social consciousness addressing issues concerning poverty, disease, and social injustice. The group's name combines an alphabet letter with a number (hope this clue makes your day). Bonus: This trivia tune from 1977 does not have Sunday in the title but does throughout the lyrics hook line. The song's theme is a breakup with a woman and the relief the singer feels after it's over. He feels liberated that morning and has a sense of calm, free from worry, having finally ended that difficult relationship. The tune was a crossover hit for the band bringing them into the adult contemporary and pop charts, when originally they recorded songs which were pure funk. The band's lead singer left in 1981 to a successful solo career recording similar soft rock hits. Liner Notes- Eight Days A Week video: -The Beatles wrote "Eight Days A Week" for the movie Help, which was at one point titled "Eight arms to hold you." -Ringo came up with this title describing in an amusing way for being overworked. McCartney later credited the title to an actual chauffeur who once drove him to Lennon's house in Weybridge. Alright, now it's time to say "good day" to this series and get on with solving those artist and song clues. So don't take the "day off," lets come up with some correct answers! If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. "Reach Out and I'll Be There" if more clues are needed. As always, thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! I'll be back next weekend as soon as I can "get in shape" another trivia quiz.... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- vectorstock.com

1. Ooh, I love that song. "Black Water," too. I think I've mentioned I'm more a fan of the Tom Johnston era than the Michael McDonald era. 2. Let's see...a letter and a number? UB40? I know who you're talking about and you, too, know I'm joking. Interesting aside regarding the subject matter: in Ireland, they call those horrible years of terrorism "the troubles." That's an understatement! BONUS: That bonus clue is as easy as building a brick.....'OUSE! Great series!!!

I have no idea about the songs you are mentioning. Ringo was a funny guy, I met him a few time in Monte Carlo, he rented the car in the same place where we used to go.

@dgobucks226 I exchanged a few words with Ringo Starr, he was a very funny guy and a very simple man. I remember he wanted a French car because he said he hated British cars.
