I Have Been Gone For a While

I have been gone from the site for a while. There have been so many changes in my life in the last year. Just as I seem to get settled, something new creeps up.
But the biggest change to date is: trumpets please--da da da dah!!!
I am a grandmother! His name is Max and he is 15 months old now, but this is still one of my favorite pictures of him.

What a wonderful happy picture. Congratulations grandma. I wish I could say the same for my grand daughter who I have nicknamed devil child! 8 months old and cries every time she sees me!

@garymarsh6 I think some crying every day goes along with most any child--that was probably the first time I sat with him and I just couldn't get him to take a bottle, so I ended up calling my daughter and she had all the right stuff to make it better!

@DianneN Oh he has spirit all right! He and I spent the day together yesterday and it was fun and I realized that there is so much that is redemptive in being with your grandchild. When he is attached to you, and reaches out to you and enjoys you, you realize that despite your doubts about what kind of parent you were--maybe you were a better parent than you thought--I am not sure if this makes sense or not--I am answering this post after writing a couple of poems on this issue --so I am in a reflective mood
