I am always on the lookout for gadgets to make life a bit easier when it comes to household organizing. When winter turns to spring it usually is time for me to find some store items in my quest to declutter the different areas of my home.
Do you have any items you have bought and would recommend to keep the house in tip top clutter free shape?
If your looking for ideas here are a few online items suggested in this article from "Pop Sugar" to help achieve your organizing goals. They are available at many retailers.
-Shoe Rack: A more effective method than throwing them on the bottom of your closet. Who wants two left sneakers or different color shoes,
-Wall Mounted bulletin board: Great for organizing your office space and decluttering all the notes and reminders on your desk.
-Laptop Storage Bag: Nice way to store your laptop but it contains pockets for work or travel items.
So what are your secrets to keeping an organized home?

Open shelves. I like the metal ones from Target, or Amazon.

Notepads to make lists to keep ME organized! Heck, I even have a list of my lists!
I buy a lot of kitchen gadgets to make life easier and keep the kitchen organized.
The most effective 'gadget' I use is to throw out things I haven't used in the past year!

I absolutely agree with the notepads! And I have lists I actually have to declutter after a time
Gadgets of any kind are the best! And that is so true about tossing stuff no longer useful to you

Online is a good place to look for sure. I'm bet Amazon would be a useful site to search for ideas.

A notepad is such a useful way to keep organized. I am always writing down lists on them or index cards. Any special desk organizer to keep them in?

I have plastic containers in the kitchen to keep flour, rice, sugar and so on, they fit into the cabinets, they are transparent and I see everything in front of my eyes. Shelves in the area under the stairs in the basement. Boxes with labels where I store things of the same nature: sewing cottons, buttons, knitting kits... I hate clutter.

@dgobucks226 I use a different drawer for socks, another for underwear and so on. Those organizers finally take a lot of useful space.

@LadyDuck That's what I do. I do know some people who divide their drawers in half with those organizers to try and maximize space. I guess it works for them?

Not much to add there! I could not agree more with everything you said including the clutter
They even sell special organizers for clothing drawers that I noticed online to separate underwear, socks etctera...

Those are so great items. I have very little cupboard space in my bathroom - so I bought some shoe racks for the back of the door and instead put small items in them

Thanks Faye. Shoe racks are a clever idea
Here is another idea for the bathroom storage area mentioned by this article. An Under the sink storage rack: It[s a neat idea if you have limited bathroom storage space to keep those additional toiletries within reach.
Here is the photo of what it looks like...

@dgobucks226 I have plenty of those kinds of containers. I was thinking of the larger storage bins, which I could probably use.

Perhaps start small with some Tupperware storage containers. I find them very useful and stackable too! A great space saver

My mother gave me a shoe rack one time I really didn't use it. She did give me two pant racks that I have been using. I have unorganized house, but I do know where everything is though.

Those racks for clothes can be a great idea for saving closet space. I try to stay organized as best I can, but unlike you, I don't know where all my stuff is located

I found some things to help me make things more organized. I found some baskets and put things in them. I moved things around to make it less of a clutter.
