Enticing

I have not been putting out bird seed, as it is now nice weather and I know the birds can find food. However I have a huge bag of seed I do not want to go bad over the summer. I do not want to store it, so I will continue to provide supplemental feeding for my bird friends.
Besides, the robins have been glaring in my front window asking me if I have forgotten them.
I am have more house finches now, the ones that have red coloring on their head and back. The female are not as pretty but they come in pairs to eat. One of my friends, the Harris Sparrow just came by to check it out as well. The little scolding wrens are always here. I am enticing them all with meals. Oh, and water. I cleaned and filled the bird baths this afternoon.
With the warmer weather we draw a different crowd. I hear lots of meadowlarks calling now.
The sun is set. My headache is trying to come back.
I suspect it is from stress or tension. So I sprayed my pillows and myself with a lavender spray.
I took a capsule of magnesium, because it relaxes muscles.
Hopefully I will wake up without the monster headache.
Hopefully I have not caught the "creeping crud" from the student I work with most often. He always has a runny nose, but no fever.
Hopefully I will not get a call to work all day tomorrow. I am planning on only working two and a half hours.
Do you entice critters to your yard?
I know that there are some here I never see, but that is alright as well.

No I do not have to entice them Heather. They gather around my concrete patio for some reason not sure what it is. There is no food out for them except for what is in the dumpster.

@GardenGerty I do feeders in winter for the birds by taking pine cones and coating with peanut butter. Then you roll in the seeds and they stick to the peanut butter. You tie a string around them and tie to a tree limb. Fun and inexpensive to do :)

I don't have any food or bird bath ready for the critters, but they seem to come to our weeded yard anyway (I am guessing there is plenty for them out here too - they come out to play anyway). I hope the headache goes away tonight!!

Robins love to come out right after we mow. I think it wakes the bugs and worms up and they are easy to find.

There haven't been any squitoes here yet @GardenGerty but I imagine they do eat a lot of the insects.

I hope you will have a good rest and not wake up with a headache. I am useless when I have such a bad headache.
No, we do not put out birdseed. We do have critters to come around, the four legged variety, which is either cats or bunnies.

Luckily we made it through April with no snow. I am going to need to break out the ark pretty soon, though.

I keep out water for all of them, deer to nasty posums. I have one for the birds on the deck.

Bob likes possums. They eat ticks and I guess around here we have a lot of Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. I would rather have possums.

Ah finches--no body warned me they are worse than rabbits! I brought two home and soon had 21 flying all around! (But I loved all of them!)

I had a friend who raised them in cages, so I knew better. I love the ones that come here to visit me.

Yes, I put out bird food and try to make the place welcoming. Unfortunately, apart from the most common birds (blackbird, robin, bluetit and magpie) the species that come around most often are invasive species - American grey squirrels and Chinese muntjac deer : (
