I am . . . EXHAUSTED

This was a fun and interesting day, and I will write about the field trip, perhaps tomorrow.
We rode a bumpy bus for 50 minutes to then get on an excursion train (also bumpy) for a ride and informative visit with a volunteer for an hour.
After the train we drove to the Eisenhower Park to have our sack lunches and play. That was about two hours. Our trip to the Heritage Museum was at 1:30. Because it was a guided tour that culminated in a ride on an antique carousel, we had an appointment there. This is a popular destination for area field trips and to fairly accommodate all, you must call and schedule visits.
Then, of course, we had the 50 minute bumpy bus ride back to the school.
How bumpy was it----Well my fitness tracker was recording the bumps as steps. This is not the fault of the driver, nor the condition of the bus. It is the result of driving on rural highways and crossing many train tracks.
I drove twenty five minutes home. Parked in the driveway, and fell asleep for a half hour. I could barely stay awake long enough to put our evening meal together.
The work week has taken its toll on me. Mainly because I wake up early out of concern that I will over sleep.
I think I am headed for another nap, but I needed to check my suggestions and notifications before I did so.

I remember those bumpy field trips haha Especially the one where the bus driver got lost and had 40 kids on a bus for 2 hours. That was no fun.
Get some rest and enjoy the weekend!

@GardenGerty We tried to tell them! the teachers did too. Oh well haha it sure was an experience. At least we were all 12 and 13 so we were a bit calmer.

That sounds like a nice field trip. I hope all the kids behaved and enjoyed it.
Sorry you're so tired.

They really were good kids, kindergarten, first and second grade. Some of them felt nauseous a time or two, but no one threw up. I did enjoy it, and would like to go back just hubby and I.

I have been through your state. Had to pull of the highway and into a town due to bad thunderstorms. I remember that.

You would think there could be a health benefit from it. . . calories burnt or such. Were you in your car, or Tony's truck?

Quite an eventful day for those kids. Many bumps would get to me after awhile. Will you be able to sleep in tomorrow?

I always feel really sleep after a day in the fresh air. And I always wake up early because I'm worried about missing the alarm.
