Breakfast for Dinner

When I cannot decide what to have for dinner, I often cook breakfast. I love many breakfast foods, including grits. I cooked a pot of grits with butter and cheese. I will make toast and call it dinner. Some like bacon or sausage but I can do without the meat. I love bacon but don't have any in the frig right now. I grew up eating grits a lot and still love the taste. I have also added cream cheese before. Gives it a creamy texture. Another idea for grits is to add a chicken bouillon cube. It gives it a great flavor. But it has a lot of salt, so you have to be careful adding extra salt. And of course a fried egg always goes great with grits. What are your dinner plans? Do you like breakfast for dinner?

@wolfgirl569 We use a slow cooker a few times a week. I love how tender the meat comes out in that.

Tonight was a salad for me but I do love grits and breakfast for dinner. Cheese grits are awesome and I will those over mac and cheese any day of the week. I'll never understand why anyone would want to put sugar and milk or maple syrup on grits, OMG that is awful, lol.

Good, glad to hear. I have beat eating a lot of salads lately. I agree about sugar or milk. That ruins the grits in my opinion.

Sometimes I do yes. I like pancakes or eggs sometimes for dinner. I like grits but I don't have them very often, maybe once or twice a year. Boullion sounds good with them..I didn't know you could make them that way. I had a steak sandwich with lots of veggies, mostly pepper and onion though.

We did pasta for dinner tonight. I do make breakfast for dinner often almost once a week probably because it’s cheap to get for dinner and I can easily cross off all of the kids food allergies to make the meal easy.

My husband doesn't eat breakfast except for a doughnut and coffee. He gets up real early. I get up a few hours after him then have my normal breakfast. I usually have my black tea with vanilla syrup in it and no milk or cream. I like strong black tea. I have a hard boiled egg and toasted garlic bread and a small glass of juice with a little clouded vinegar in it.

I like bacon, eggs and toast for dinner, every-so-often. I dislike frying bacon though... I usually use the microwave as not as messy as the stove. But, the plate gets so hot and I have to use a ton of paper towels.
