A weekend without internet

Our internet was down all weekend until the repair tech came this morning and fixed it.
It's amazing how much we/I depend on the internet and didn't even realize it.
No myLotting, no FB (although I could live without FB), no paying bills online, no listening to my play lists on Spotify (I've now downloaded them), and no asking Google for a good recipe to make bread.
Well, I did use my phone some with data since WiFi was down. But actually it was quite nice to be semi-disconnected.
Life can actually go on fairly well without the internet.
Who'd a thought?

You can still turn on a radio or TV or pick up a cook book or just have face to face conversation.

I love all those things. Even when we do have internet, my husband and I often sit out back in the shack, watch the fire in the fire pit, and just talk.

@1creekgirl yes ma'am, we've been most fortunate with all the storms 'round 'n thus far (knockin' wood) 've nothin' more severe'n high winds (damagin' 'nough'n their own). 'n the 5 o'clock news last eve, they said there'd been 80 confirmed tornadoes through "tornado alley" since friday. there were several states with more warnin's fer such 'n i hope that all heeded 'em 'n took shelter.

@crazyhorseladycx I have to admit I read that about Abe on line. It's true, though. And we also appreciate the weather channels and radar. Hope you've been safe through those terrible tornadoes lately.

@1creekgirl sometimes, I read again the books that I have read a few years ago when I have nothing new to read.

My phone is a hot spot so I can use my laptop with my phone providing the Internet. I am quite addicted to my data.

What's your favorite thing to do on line? One of mine is looking at recipes and of course, being on myLot!

Sometimes it makes us realize there's more to do than be online.
