Yay! We have baby squash and little tomatoes

The squash is doing pretty good, should have enough to pick before too long. The tomato bushes have lots of little ones. While we're waiting for them to get big and red, I'll probably fry some green tomatoes soon. There's just not much better than yellow crook neck squash fried up in corn meal with onions, salt, and pepper. Unless it's fresh tomatoes straight out of the garden. God is good. I wonder if frying green tomatoes started when people got impatient waiting for them to turn red?

Mmm sounds delicious. Out harvest is later. Only asparagus we have been using. And I can use rhubarb now I think.

I like to saute yellow squash and zucchini in margarine with a little bit of onion, salt and pepper.

That sounds yummy. That's kind of how I cook it except that I add corn meal.

@1creekgirl Too much rain is just as bad as not enough when it comes to the veggies!! I hope you do get to save some.

My husband said we've had so much rain that some of the squash are rotting! I'm heartbroken. But maybe some will survive.

That is wonderful. I remember when we grew tomatoes and cucumbers in our garden back in Latvia every day I went to see how they were growing, how many more blossoms and so on

@1creekgirl My veggies have some way to go yet but they’re looking good. I think the potato crop should be good this year.

Aren't you guys known for growing good potatoes? My grandmother always referred to them as Irish potatoes, but I think it came out like "Ish potoatoes."
