I am a frequenter of these convenience stores which sell everyday items for very cheap prices. It's like going to a treasure hunt. You never know what stores like Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Five Below and others might have in stock. And it's an item you just might need!
So, what is your favorite item to buy at these cheap convenience stores? You know, the one item you always buy when you go there.
For me it's Cheese Nips! Yep, I am addicted to that darn cracker, lol. I would always buy them when visiting the Dollar Store until they stopped selling it in the original 11 oz box. Bummer, but not for long as I found my favorite snack at Dollar General instead.
Boy I love these stores! If you have suggestions always interested to know about an bargain item I might be missing out on.
For those outside the U.S., do you have similar convenience stores like the Dollar stores?
Ok, now its your turn to tell me your favorite item to buy....

I absolutely LOVE these stores-dollar tree the most though. =) I really buy a lot of household items like what we use every day. Cleaners, air fresheners, toilet paper, etc...
I also buy school items at Dollar Tree for Home Schooling my kids on a budget. =)
Also, we buy car chargers there too! Who knew? They work great and they are affordable!
The family also loves their alphabet cookies-short bread and delicious is what they are. My husband and I eat more than the kids do, shhh.

Yes, I agree they have great deals on household items which I also buy. Paper plates, dishes, bathroom cleaners (comet) and sprays are very convenient to buy. They have a great selection of stationary items plus kids puzzles, games and other toys too.
Food snack items taste good and for the price how can you beat it
They are always adding new items like the charger you mentioned.

Those Dollar stores are loaded with all types of different snacks. Gum, candy, chips and now they have recently added pastry cake items to the store I frequent.

At the Dollar Tree in general I have a handful of items I like to get there. Dollar General I don't shop that often, but when I do go there I generally will peruse the food aisles for bargains. Five Below I really only go there for things like phone cases, headphones and stuff like that. There's not much there I find useful. But I do like the store.

Dollar General carries similar items as Dollar Tree, but adds other products coming in different amounts which are more expensive. Dollar tree sticks to a very successful formula to keep their items at $1. Greeting cards and Calendar's and picture frames are some useful items I bought there. Never been to a Five Below but they are opening one soon near me.

@porwest Yes, I'm sure some items are not the best of bargains compared with other stores. But overall it's great for single people or couples with children since the sizes better fit their needs. I do buy the chandelier light bulbs there, lol. I guess I don't notice them burning out so quick and I got tired of paying so much for them at Home Depot. I will definitely check out Five Below even if I don't find any items I need.

@dgobucks226 One thing Dollar Tree has marketed well are poor people who do not know any better. That's not a diss. Just an observation. Most people do not know how much they are actually paying for things. They tend to look at upfront cost, but never consider overall cost. For example, Dollar Tree sells Ultra-Brite 6 oz tubes of toothpaste for a dollar. Walmart sells the same item for 97 cents. Air freshener aerosol cans are $1 at Dollar Tree. They are 96 cents at Walmart. Other items there that are not a bargain are paper plates, plastic ware, toilet paper, paper towels...but people THINK they are saving money, and since they only have to cough up a buck instead of buying a larger pack for $16 they THINK they are saving money, but they are actually spending a fortune. It's a brilliant business model since it pretty much dupes people out of their money without them really knowing it.

I see. Do you usually find yourself always needing the same item when you shop there? Many times I'm always in need of Paper Towels.
