What did you have for dinner last night?

In response to multiple requsts from MyLot members who are bored with my posts about my recent trip to Iowa, I am doing a dinner post.
Last night, I had some Mandarin Chicken from Trader Joe's in my freezer, but I didn't have enough sauce to make true mandarin chicken.
So I scoured my fridge and found some spicy BBQ sauce I had scored at a recent music gig.
I fried up the frozen chicken, put BBQ sauce all over it, and ate and slept like a baby.

@TheHorse we season the hamburger steak a bit different and usually eat it with mushrooms, onions and gravy , no bun.

@wolfgirl569 Are taters a "no-no" food on your diet? I guess they'd be full of carbs.

Last night, I had char sui pork. I didn't make it myself. It was a Slimming World microwave meal. My boys had pizza as they weren't expecting me back until later.
Tonight, I might make a curry... or a jambalaya... or I might get one of the boys to make a Bolognese or something.

@TheHorse I usually do, yes. I've been known to use some ready-made ingredients but I prefer making things from scratch. My mum never made curries because she doesn't like anything! I taught myself to make them. Sometimes, they're experimental but they usually turn out really nice. It's something that my partner and both children always enjoy.
As it happened, I ended up making Hunter's chicken for the boys. I just had chicken as we didn't have much bacon, and I prefer mine plain. Tonight, we'll probably just have snacks as we won't have much time to cook and eat a proper meal.

@TheHorse It's kind of like white perch, small to medium with bones. It can't be filleted.
