Finally a little time to myself! Also, update on my dad.

I've said this a lot but I love my family but goodness me sometimes I need time alone! It's not always easy to get especially now due to my dad not working since his toe was amputated. I am someone ( like many ) who just wants quiet. Don't want to listen to anyone or have anyone trying to talk to me. Just like silence and to be alone.
My dad is doing great. Few stressful times here and there with his sugar reading being low but was easily dealt with. Other than that, he saw his surgeon recently and was told that he is allowed to drive and even go back to work. So things are still going great but part of me still stresses over it. It's not because I dwell over things. It's because it's a pattern in this family where things go wrong, brightens up a bit then goes back to being wrong. It's like I'm scared to be happy because it often gets taken away anyway. It's something I'm working on.
Anyway my dad is going for an x-ray right now so I have about 30 minutes - an hour by myself. Will just make myself a cup of tea then probably come back here on MyLot while watching Bates Motel. On season 4 and still enjoying it.
Do you like time to yourself or prefer to be around others?

@NJChicaa I'm sorry to know this about you. I do know what it's like to be alone too. I was in that position a lot when I was younger and it wasn't good.
I hope something can happen one day that can change you to not be so alone. If that's something you'd want of course.

I wish I could change that for you. Like seriously and honestly I wish I could as I know the feeling. Honestly hope that can change for you as soon as possible so you don't be and feel alone anymore.

@Daljinder Good question. I don't think I've ever really thought about it in that much detail. I just came to terms with good and bad times being apart of life at an early age. I never really thought anything besides it just being life. I hope that answers your question.

@Daljinder Sort of. It really depends. A lot of my OCD is not noticeable. Back when I was with Aidan, a lot was extremely noticeable.

I like both....sometimes it is nice to have alone time, but I do like to spend time with my family too. That's good to hear about how he is doing. Hopefully the x-ray went alright!
Bates Motel is a great show! The story line is twisted, but it was a good show!

@MommyOfEli2013 Thank you for not telling me the ending. Actually I'm kicking myself because today while Googling "How many seasons of Bates Motel are there?" I saw a question suggested to me and I'm so bummed if it's really going to happen. Major spoiler but I will still watch and see.

@JasminRuru I am an introvert but it's also because due to still living at home, I am feeling almost desperate to have a place of my own. To experience what it's like having my space. It's hard to get that while living with my dad and brother. As much as I love them, I really feel my mental health would improve if I could have my own space.

@jstory07 I'm the same as you. I love to be alone but I do love to have some company. It's usually a 50/50 feeling but as of late, I'm wanting to be by myself more often.

@LadyDuck Thank you very much. I am the same as you. I mean, I don't have a husband but I sometimes don't mind having people near me but often prefer sitting in silence doing my own thing without talking to anyone.
