Kroger Coupon Day

I gathered up my Kroger coupons and went shopping today. I had coupons for frozen vegetables, pizza, fruitsickles, grape jelly, eggs and they had peaches for .77 per pond, I bought a couple of pounds so we're set for a few days. I did my main shopping at Aldis a few days ago. I also loaded up all our newspapers and carried then to the recycling bin. Now we can start filling the basket all over again. I haven't had time to read the paper today and since it came to mind, I'm afraid I carried it to the recycling bin along with the old papers. Oh, Foot. And I like to do the word puzzles.

I'm sorry it ended up in the recycle bin before you could do the word puzzle. You have some good coupons.

You've been busy. That's super cool that you got peaches for a cheap price. I hope they are tasty.

I got pretty good at sudoku but I didn't do them for awhile and in the meantime I forgot. I'd have to practice now.

I went grocery shopping today at Sprouts. I used a $5 off $30 coupon from the newspaper.

@jm1978 So do I, but usually not any coupons I can use. I save those for my daughter in law. They hardly ever have anything I can use.

Ooh. It almost sounds like a little contribution to my retirement. I own stock in Kroger. Sounds like you got some great deals though. As for Aldi, I love them. Great deals and you can walk away with bags full for a little bit of money. Incidentally, Kroger has a store very similar to Aldi called Ruler Foods. Complete with a quarter for the cart and all. I shop there quite often as well.

@RubyHawk Even around here, years ago, there was a Kroger, but it's long gone. I do think with lots of consolidation here when it comes to grocery stores, Kroger will eventually return. Ruler is the Kroger brand store around here right now and I think they are gauging the market to decide whether they could be viable here again. We only currently have two major grocery stores aside from the Aldi and the Ruler. So, there is room to grow.

@RubyHawk Kroger is actually a HUGE company with lots of store brands. They operate Dillons, JayC Food Stores, Pay Less Supermarkets, Ralph's, Roundy's, Copps, Food4Less, Pick 'N Save, and several others. One of the larger grocery companies in the country.

I need to get back in the routine of going to Kroger. They have great coupons on their website and good sales. I hope the peaches were good and not picked too soon. I find that most fruit is and therefore taste like nothing.

I almost always have to lay fruit out a few days to ripen. my better half ate a peach and said they were ripe this time. That's unusual.

Mostly anywhere from 40 cent to I. 75 on one item. it counts up. But I never have many coupons. Some coupons are for a free item. Usually for eggs or toilet tissue.

I never used coupons. I think using coupons means getting more facilities on reducing price. And you can get all the news from internet. So don't worry about the newspaper.

I haven't used coupons in a while . I was just thinking about how I needed to start using them again. We just got an Aldis near us. I haven't shopped there, but am gonna plan to. I am so used to WalMart that I don't really go anywhere else.
