hello, mylot world. long time, no post.
i should really be active to hit the $5 minimum, but i probably won't.
i've been emailing my friend because my old phone finally died and the directory/contact list couldn't be transfered. i don't have facebook, either.
today, i finally got to talk to her briefly, but we can't have a meet-up yet to have a proper catch-up.
she shared that when she attended their high school reunion, she told her classmates (about 20 atttended) that she's selling insurance and, thankfully, one of them availed of it.
i admire her because she tries all possible connections and commutes all over the metro to meet them.
and because of this side job, it has helped and keeps helping to fill the gap financially for her family when she's out of work.
have you ever had to sell anything?
what is your selling style?

but you do very well just interacting. you've been paid consistently since the first month you joined here.
however, the downside is, if you only have a few discussions, they keep getting resurrected and sometimes you just want to move on from those old topics.

@hereandthere Only a few are resurrected and people always choose nice topics.

it's like writers, artist and agents. they'd rather focus on doing their thing.

Selling can be a hard task. I used to work for a golf shop which definitely involved a lot of selling items and waiting on people. The good thing is usually the customer was looking for an item when shopping. Selling cold turkey would be extremely hard and one would need a great personality and skill to succeed.

you have to be attuned to the customer, and think quickly without being pushy

I'm a really bad seller. I have never tried to sell anything. I guess I'm better off being a buyer.

i've had good and bad experiences being an informal seller to classmates and officemates.
i've also had awkward times as the one being sold items to, i feel pressured by them.

Been selling all m life from the time I was born but never experienced going house to house to do it. From physical store, to online, to having people do it for me.

I make a living buying and selling, my whole life is about buying and selling that's why I don't work 8 hours in an office. People come to me to buy and to sell instead of me going to them to sell something.

I have been to selling online, and I have my online shop where I keep posting my products like dresses, bags and shoes.
Sometimes it’s hard because I need to dispose some of them so that I can sell a new one. Nowadays it’s hard because most of my friends are into online selling as well.

i did that when i helped a cousin sell underwear. i'm not good at setting my own prices so i just told her to compute what she thinks i should get.

I put out a sign if I have a rental ready, or word of mouth. I tell people, sometimes they know someone.
Selling my soaps and lotions I have a facebook page and an online page.

we also have a lot of signs here like 'room for rent' or 'apartment for rent', then the cellphone number listed underneath.
referrals and word of mouth are really helpful when they've had good experience with the product, service, worker or place.
yes, i do know about your organic products. nowadays people automatically look up anything online so it's kind of expected to have an fb, instagram or website page and keep it uipdated.
you also had a roofing business before, right?
