As Fate Would Have It

I was walking Doodles the cat in our backyard when his daddy, our son, stopped by for a visit. It’s so nice that he bought a home so close to ours. He pops over frequently to see Doodles and us.
As fate would have it, my husband returned from some shopping and bought a new television. Our son carried it into the house for him and is setting it up right now. We have a new wireless cable system and are clueless in setting up new technology without help.

If he didn't help us, we'd have to call the Wise Geeks or Geek Squad. I keep them on a yearly retainer. LOL! Really!
Yes, this wireless thing is all new to us and we do have a few less wires.
Thank you. That little monkey loves to hang out with his grammy and grampy.

I have completely given up when it comes to technology, and don't even bother trying anymore. I just call my kids and tell them to take care of it for me. Granted, I'm not that bad at all with technology, I'm just impatient with it, so it's better to let the kids tackle those things than for me to do it and get all frustrated and upset.

@DianneN Maybe wise isn't the best way to describe me, but I am efficient!

That's what son's are for. My son is both mechanical and techy. I just wish I saw him more often. Demand Animal Planet Doodles!

He does miss his firstborn son as he calls him. lol.
We are so happy he lives so close. Our friends live close to him, but haven't seen the work he had done to his yard, so we drove them by the house after dinner last night.
My husband likes to get the latest TVs when they come out, mostly for his sports watching.

I hate the idea of getting a new TV . I am not sure we can set it up. We got the last one which is still working great four years ago. When we moved I put different colored electrical tape on each hook up so all we had to do was match them up and we were done.

Looks like Doodles is smart and ignoring all the fuss getting the new tv all set up. I'm sure he'll be ready to watch his "shows" and enjoy the new tv

@LindaOHio Thank you! Doodles got his claw caught in the cushion and dragged it to the floor. Now we keep a little blanket on that area.

@allknowing It only cost us a little more than what we were already paying after my husband haggled with them.

We just got a new computer and went through the exact same thing! Jay and I are clueless, how to get it working properly
Why can't I use my own photos? Because we don't know how to set it up!

@DianneN Jay is the one who wants all the newest models. Then, he calls a young guy to come over, to set it up! LOL The kid is maybe 25 years old and he gets things working properly:)
