Melatonin

Recently I have been having trouble falling to sleep. As some of you know, I can't sleep longer than 3 to 4 hours but I was always able to go right to sleep. So, combining trouble falling to sleep and trouble staying asleep leads to barely any sleep at all.
Yesterday, I found a bottle of Melatonin that I was taking prior to my neck surgery in October. The surgeon had taken me off it because at that time I was on heavy duty drugs. As the months went by, I forgot about them.
So last night I took one and was able to fall asleep...yay! I was sleeping so good until Daisy woke me up at 1:30 am. She wouldn't stay out of my face with kisses. She is used to sleeping only a few hours and if she had not woke me up, I believe I could have slept until 3 or 4 am which is great for me. We shall see if it works again tonight.

We can not buy it here in the UK. I think you can get it on prescription but you can not buy it over the counter. We can buy it in the USA and import it there is no restriction to do that.

It is a good way to reset your body clock, and I understand it is also good for your digestive health. I take it sometimes but not always. I forgot to bring mine with me, and I have two bottles at home so I will not buy more. Someone on here said if you take it all the time your body forgets how to make its own. Another tip for quality sleep that seems to work for me is to get outside as early as possible in the day for at least fifteen minutes. It wakes you up and also tells your body to make sleep hormones in the evening. I love to have morning coffee outdoors. I hope your sleep continues to improve.

Daisy should also sleep well/longer so she would not disturb your sleep.

Oh no, I wish she hadn't woken you! I am up and down a lot during the night, as well, but my cats don't bother me. They actually sleep at night instead of tearing around. I find that reading is helpful--many times it makes me sleepy, and if it doesn't, then hey, I've gotten some reading in, which is good, too. Hope the melatonin works for you and that Daisy learns to leave you in peace if you are asleep.

I'm glad you found the melatonin and got some better sleep. Maybe as you take it more routinely from here on you will be able to start sleeping better. I am exhausted from not sleeping well last night. My boyfriend stayed the night and it was hot so he wanted the A.C. on. I let it stay on but then had to get up at 3am and shut it off so I could sleep.
