Please rain on my yard

I don't need a lot of rain. Enough to turn the grass from brown back to green would suffice. It has been cloudy here all day. The clouds didn't stop it from getting hot.
I have been writing today. Nearly 1,000 words so far. I need to reach 1,700 for today to make up for only managing 300 yesterday.
While writing, I was watching the Women's World Cup final. The Netherlands played well all game and were the first team this tournament to keep the USA scoreless in the first half. In the second half, it appeared as though the American women finally showed up to play. Still, it was touch and go until the last. Kudos to the Netherlands. They made the USA earn the win today.
Did you watch the game?

Rain isn't all the grass needs. Our lawns looked really nice when we had a company taking care of them. They have looked pretty shoddy the last couple of years.
I am watching the Toronto Blue Jays baseball game.... and not writing. I should be writing, well, editing. Got to push myself.

@wolfgirl569 It's too bad we can't share and let you have some of our dry days and you could send us some of your rain.

I was able to watch the game. I arrived back home from my paintball tournament about five minutes before the start of the match. It was definitely a great game to watch!

@moffittjc You should always go in expecting to come out on top. Otherwise, why be there?

@DWDavis We finished 4th overall. Very disappointing considering our hot start yesterday, but not too shabby considering there were 28 teams in our division.
We complain when we don't win, because we expect to win every single time we take the field. That's the fire that burns in our team's collective belly. But the truth is, there are teams that have been around for decades and have never won a single tournament. It's hard. Even most of the good teams have only ever won one tournament. We are very fortunate to have won two tournaments already this year. So it's all relative. But, we want nothing short of 1st place at every tournament!

I am thankful for the rain but I could use a little less, all the grass here is killing me, seems I mow more than I do laundry.
