Who do you call when your neighborhood hawk isn't doing his job?

This photo is of a squirrel feasting on an acorn in our backyard. Ace came to me very upset about this. I am upset, too. What is the point of hosting a hawk in your woods if he is going to let every Chip and Dale and Rocky parade around your backyard eating nuts and acorns? I sent Ace out to have a talk with this squirrel. The squirrel, of course, scampered up a tree when he saw Ace coming. Ace scolded the squirrel - who refused to give his name - a good one for leaving the woods and coming into the yard. Now, I have to find out who to call or email about getting Hudson to do a better job around here. Good help can be so hard to find.

I'm sure it's bleeding obvious but why don't you like squirrels in your yard?

I don't mind the squirrels, actually. I was just having a bit of fun at Hudson's expense.

Why, this is outrageous! How dare you threaten my relatives that way!!!! My baby (in my profile picture) was part Beagle, and she would lie quietly while the squirrels nervously scampered by. I would always praise her for not disturbing the domesticated wildlife in the back yard.

Which one are you related to, the hawk or the squirrel?

I don't think I've ever seen a hawk go for a squirrel

Hawks like rabbit better. At least, Hudson seems to. Squirrels are too quick for him. Rabbits are oblivious.

We have squirrels, opossums, raccoons, deer, owls, and snakes living in our woods.
