I know we have some Creative people in here. Some who have done Crocheting, paint rocks, paint pictures, do other types of art, etc, I Love to be creative, and find it to be a Great stress reliever, or big help when I am in pain just to give me something else to do to help take my mind off of things. I have been painting rocks now just over 2 yrs, and really Love it. I actually started trying to sell some of my painted rocks just for some extra $$ end of last yr at some Christmas Bazaars,. with no success. But I am proud to say I have sold the rock pictured here, and this is my first one, and I know the person buying it as she is one of the ones who helped me even get started doing this just over 2 yrs ago. So what about you? Do you do this just for Fun, or try selling your work as well? ~~TINA~~

It can be quite interesting creating things that you know others will like and spend $$ on.

I'm glad someone bought a rock from you. I paint them but I won't sell them. People paint and hide them here for others to find and either keep or re-hide them. I want to sell what I write though. I didn't always write to publish and earn money, but I do now.

Yes, most of the rocks I paint, I just go hide somewhere or give to kids and such to help make their day brighter. I just hid about 50 rocks since Sunday with my husbands help

@KrauseHome That's a lot of painted rocks. Do you paint them at home? I paint them with a group at the Senior Center.

@KrauseHome I am tired of selling things now and if I make something just for me I do not complain about it like others do.

I am sure that is a Good feeling. I could do other art than the rocks like I have before. Just takes a lot of time to do so.

I am doing an event in a week, and am considering taking my Crocheting with me since I will be in an 10x10 outside for 2 days and see if I have any luck with any of them.

Nothing wrong with that. There are other things you are good at, and those you can consider your strong points

Etsy has never been a site I am interfested in. Too expensive with all their fees and rules

I think it is a very nice painted rock! That's great that you sold it! I make graphic designs, and would love to sell them....but haven't had any success myself (except a little on Zazzle).

Interesting rock. I do artwork for various reasons, fun, therapy, etc. I have tried to sell my art, but I haven't made a real career of it. I can count on one hand (literally) how many art pieces I have EVER sold. Most were to family or friends.
