Early to rise

We got up this morning just before 5 and finished loading our car to go home. We did not want to be in the way as my sister in law had to get ready for work and my brother had a morning doctor appointment.
We had no traffic and although we stopped twice we still made it home in three and a half hours. That is very good time for us.
We do not sleep really well at my brother's house. He keeps the air conditioner really cold.So we came home and took naps.
We chose only to snack on the road and to eat a good breakfast at noon. Made at home.
I got the front yard mowed in stops and starts today. That is about one third of the property, but it is the part that is seen from the street. Man that grass is deep.
Hubby has an appointment to get his pacemaker read tomorrow. I think I will encourage him to leave me at home, to mow some more.
Meanwhile, it is bedtime. Have a good sleep, everyone.

I am trying very hard to make sure we eat mostly at home. It really tastes better, usualy and saves so much money.

@GardenGerty I agree. Eating out is nice for an occasional treat, but if you do it all the time it becomes 'samey' somehow, I don't know how. And of course the expense adds up. I think I have had one meal out this year so far, when on a long journey with the girls. And I have told the family I fancy going for a Chinese meal for my birthday (which is in September).

I have to leave the car tomorrow so they can try to fix it.
I sat waiting from 1 to 5:30 today and its still not fixed.
