This afternoon, I was about to feed my dogs. All of a sudden, I slipped and fell down to the ground. Luckily, I was able to protect myself by outstretching my right upper limb. Despite my action moves, I got bruises on my right forearm, knee and had chipped my big toe's nail. It is my way to protect my head. Now, I am recuperating from this incident.

Oh no...! I try to avoid falling in the first place, I don't actually get a chance to protect anything most of the time. I sympathisize with you. I have fallen on my outside steps a few times, and got severely injured, although no broken bones, or sprains, thankfully,,,and I have not hit my head, but injuries like you are talking about several,,,feel better!

It is has been a long time that I had this kind of physical injury. Based on what I read before, hip dislocation is the common injury secondary to fall. Moreover, we really need to protect our head. I always think that it will be a big problem if hitting the head into a hard surface.

kabsat, we who are medical professionals, often give self-medications, but for me, i already know the medicines my cardiologist prescribes me. i can also go to an old lady to have massage, but sh is so old now, so i resort to liniments.

@florelway It is fine, my friend. Wounds and bruises need not be covered. It will be better if it is exposed as long as it is not bleeding. A bandage can be helpful at first medical aid.

@Shavkat you wrap it with bandage, it could be more painful if it hits a surface.

Ouch seems like you had a bad fall. I think you will recuperate from that for as long as you wont get like fever because when you get one it means you have a bad muscle sprain or bones. But if you are not having those symptoms you would be fine.

@LadyDuckI thought you are not that close with your brother. I think it is a good way to ask for some advice from him.

That sounds painful and hope you're ok. If I fell like you did I would probably break something

It's my head first. If it'ssimple not a serious injury, I treat it by myself by using first aid kit.
