This discussion is inspired by @DocAndersen because he had to walk his dogs in the heat yesterday. I know many think I am crazy to be a heat loving person but I am and why fight it, its here enjoy it. Sweating is actually good for the body, when you sweat you rid your body of toxins and you work on helping your skin. Skin? Yes! opens up those pores and allows anything clogged to come out. The Native American Indians often had sweat lodges to promote good health. ( I got a wee bit in me.) I used to belong to this spa many, many years ago and after a good workout we had one and I used it. Did I mention I never had pimples growing up and we did not have a/c. Embrace the summer heat! You will have months of cold to hide under layers of clothing while you fall down on ice.
In 1993, Billy Joel released his final studio album River of Dreams, an album that details Joel's issues regarding trust, betrayal and the idea of everlastin...

I am not a lover of heat. I know that sweating is good for you but...I have a problem breathing when it is too hot. I used to love the heat, I wish I still could.

I have asthma so I understand the breathing. If you did not have a/c what then?

Shush about the cold woman!! I will take the heat any day over that. To me this is not bad here. But I never run the AC in the house or car. We would have to have the AC in the house looked at before turning it on as it has been at least 5 years since we did.

I sweat like crazy. I don't know if it is fair to us to have to embrace the summer heat since...I don't even want someone to touch me if it is over 110 haha And layers for winter is like...a t-shirt and jacket. I'll take autumn weather, a nice inbetween.

Yes it is, want to be cold.... LOL.... you know where to move. North. Cold sucks, not feeling your face, hands and feet if you go for a walk.

@DesirousDreamer I understand, you live in a hot place, I have been out there so I know how bad it is in the summer.

@andriaperry At least it is easier to get warmer than it is to get cooler. Especially when someone doesn't have AC heh I hate the cold because my body cannot handle it at all but feeling like you are walking to an oven and literally getting your flesh burned from touching a doorknob is not fun

How hot is it? Can I get a temp, and a dewpoint? Lol. I know you live in the south so I am curious. Here in Minneapolis, Minnesota it is currently 87 and humid. very muggy. And it's 10pm! But it's probably worse for you up there. I like saunas myself.

It was a nice 85 today but it rained. But it was around 100 before hurricane Barry. We have high humidity, I don`t know the number but you can be out and within 10 minutes you are totally soaking wet with sweat, panties, bra, jean shorts and t shirt. I like the dry heat of the west too.

I am stuck inside mostly this summer. I just bought two cute swimming outfits tho so I might go over to the park and swim.

I can take a certain amount of heat. Outside heat does not bother as much as too much heat inside. I have pilot lights on four wall furnaces. When it was time to turn things off Bob did not feel well enough. I did not do it right so my living rooms have continued to be hot. Bob finally feels good and he took care of one tonight. Outside I just find a shade tree or some green grass and feel better immediately.

I don`t think it gets as hot there as it does here. Alabama is going into the hottest month and that is August and that is when I like to go to the beach.
