My New Furniture Has Arrived

After about 8 weeks my new furniture has finally arrived. It was delivered this morning. I was a little surprised by the couch cover, I thought it was going to be a little darker than it actually is. Having said that, I love it and it is so comfortable.
I am sitting in my new recliner right now. It took us a while but we put down the new rug that I bought yesterday, I will write about and show pictures of that later , and rearranged the room.
I still have to paint a few small pieces of furniture and I may move the love seat into the smaller room where Al watches TV, for now, it has returned to its previous location across the room from me.
I love my recliner, I will be very comfortable working in it and it is a little smaller than the leather one I have been using. I am not sure that Roscoe will be able to squeeze in next to me.
For now, I have covered both pieces with sheets to protect them from pets and grandkids. When company is coming, the sheets will go but for now, I want them to stay looking new as long as possible.

I ended up ordering a king-sized sheet on Amazon, mine are queen-sized.

@amadeo my spare room has a full bed but our bed is a queen and I wish it was a king!! Al is a bed hog!!

doin' the happy dance with ya! they're very nice, hon. 't least yer couch 'tis a neutral 'n works lovely with yer recliner :) i'm a big fan 'f slip covers here. not so much fer pets'n grands, but 'dults, lol. that'n my hand-me-o'er couch 'f 30+ years 'd be quite flowery. clashes horribly with the navajo rug that hangs'n the wall 'hind 't.

I really love the sofa and chair so I want just a throw cover that I can remove when I want to show them off lol But it seems they are out of style which is why I opted for the sheet lol

lol Yes well 25 years ago I got rid of the antiques when I really started to have grandchildren, lol Those 5 boys of Kasey's have given me a run I'll tell you lol but now it is pretty much just Jack and the dogs. But Alex came in from work to visit the other day and I was glad I had the cover on lol I am turning into a "mother"

@BelleStarr That is great! i really want to get a new couch but have no truck to load one and i feel it will be to much extra to have delivered.

That is a really nice colour combination, they go well together.
I am like you and try to protect our furniture as long as we can, especially when its new.
When we bought our current couch we also bought a spray that we put on it which is almost like the scotch-guard that they used to apply to furniture, but this doesn't have any bad fumes. And it works pretty well.

I am afraid to spray anything on the fabric I am not sure how the fabric will react. I think I will just use sheets and when someone comes over, they will disappear lol
