To be a door dash driver! Just waiting for my activation kit. I would have applied sooner, but I didn't think we had the service here.
Now...in my town they actually dont....But I can drive over to the next town and there are currently 15 restaurants that offer doordash. On days I want to do it full time, I can go to the even bigger town which has around 50 places that offer it.
Do you do door dash, or any other of those side gigs/hustles?

@MommyOfEli2013 Yeah, demographics are going to play a BIG role in how much you can actually make. It's a business that has done very well in large cities, but is still struggling a bit in smaller ones for obvious reasons. One thing being you have to have a community of people who not only do a lot of things online, but are also willing to try services like this that ARE online and pay for it.

@porwest That makes a lot of sense...I definitely get that. We are going to try dashing in a town tomorrow that has 50 restaurants that participate, and almost 50,000 population. There are a handful of restaurants that just added door dash; so if it was requested by people...then I am guessing it is a hit there. We'll see tomorrow. If not, I also signed up to do insta-cart.

I wonder if any of the other like services are better. But hope if you do, your delivery people do great! Thank you, tried to deliver food for two days already and haven't got any orders though! We may have to go to the bigger town, 45 minutes away.

@MommyOfEli2013 I hope it is worth it. Maybe you can find a group online somewhere where people talk about how well they do in gigs in your area? You might find such a thing on reddit.

@MommyOfEli2013 We really do not order in a lot. The pizza place that we order from offers their own delivery service and the Chinese place that we order in from also offers their own delivery.

@Juliaacv I understand, we don't either....especially since pizza places are the only ones that do it in my town. That's great that the chinese place there delivers too! Thanks, I sure hope so.

It is a food delivery service, not sure they have those kind of services where you live. Similar to uber eats, post mates, grub hub..etc.

Guess it depends how big your town is....my town doesn't, but have to go over to the next town to be able to deliver.

Oh, okay! And thank you! Still nervous about picking up the orders and handing them to the customers. My husband will go with me though, so I'm not alone the whole time. I'll still be picking up and dropping off by myself though.
