Good morning everyone! I hope you are doing amazing. =) I hope you are focusing on your blessings-they are all around if you just look for them!
The last few days...have been interesting to say the least. My husband has been home because he lost his job. The boss told him in a round about way that him being a Christian was affecting the work environment.
Did you know there was a study done and 70% of Americans said they would NOT want to live next door to a born again Christian?!?
OUCH.
No worries-God provided another job and today my husband is at work!
We spent those days mostly reading the Bible, praying, spending time with God and our family.
If something is going on in your life-I would love to pray for you and I'm here if you need to talk! =)
Image is mine-of Josiah--I think he knows he's adorable!!

@LadyDuck This workplace spoke of such things often and my husband was looking to move on to another job because of that anyway. It worked out perfectly in God's timing. =)

@LadyDuck It was and he got tired of staying quiet and ignoring it.

@LovingMyBabies It must be hard to work in a place where the other workers speak like that.

That's very bothering to hear about losing his job because of his faith. I would think in rural Georgia everyone is a Christian. People here in Gainesville talk about religion all the time, and I've never heard anyone complain about someone's beliefs.

@moffittjc Yeah, they would always tell nasty jokes and make similar comments. When he mentioned he wasn't listening to it anymore, and was basically quitting-the boss fired him! There's a lot less Christians here than you think...

@LovingMyBabies I'm glad he found another job though. Hopefully the new job will present a better working environment for him.

That is so stupid of his boss to fire him just because he is a Christian but glad he found something else. That is discrimination

I would think that getting fired for being a Christian is against the law these days. I guess God had a different plan for your husband and glad he found a new job.

@Marilynda1225 It is but how will you prove that? Of course everyone there will take the bosses side so they don't lose their jobs...my husband is better off anyway at the new job. =) God had a much better plan!

@LovingMyBabies it would probably take a lot of effort to prove allegations of being fired for religious beliefs and I'm sure your husband will be better off out of there.

@Bensen32 Yes, very grateful he wasn't out of work for long.
Lol, thanks for sharing your opinion-I bet many have the same feelings toward it.
Mostly, when we are born again we just share God's love with others and we might talk about God but not trying to push it on anyone. =)

@LovingMyBabies Well from our conversation I don't get the feeling you are trying to convert people just open about your beliefs and not afraid to talk about it. I can only assume your husband is the same. However in this day and age that is enough to put people off.
Honestly, when I hear that someone is Born Again, the first thing I think is "oh no, he/she is going to try and convert us". Not exactly fair but it's honest. I guess cause that is what I have experience with many and that is the story you hear about.

@Bensen32 That is really honest, thank you for explaining the reason because I didn't really understand it.
We try to help others, we love people, we try hard to follow the example of Jesus and all of those things are good so I didn't get it. So, thank you.

Even many Non Christians don't go around talking openly in that way, if they weren't raised to talk and think like that. I am glad he got another job.I had a former roomie who was awful in that way, I couldn't stand him alot of the time because everything was the lowest common denominator. It is just rude and ignorant if you ask me.

@snowy22315 Yeah, every day the boss and co-workers would tell nasty jokes or talk about bj's. It was not something my husband wanted to hear every day but he stayed quiet until he just couldn't anymore.

@LovingMyBabies It doesn't make much sense. If he doesn't want to take part in a conversation, he shouldn't have to. If they want to talk about nasty things, that's their business.

@dodo19 Well his coworkers and boss were talking about nasty things and asked him to join in on the convo. When he refused he said it's because Jesus is in his heart. The next day he was fired.

He is SO adorable.
I wasn't aware of that statistic, but it says a lot about how superficial people like to go thru life as.
I'm glad that he is out of a workplace that wasn't right for him and hopefully the new one will be better suited for him.

It is so sad to me... I was surprised and saddened to hear that.
Yes, this job is better for him! We are so grateful that our Father knows what we need and provides.

@LovingMyBabies I have a friend who speaks about her religion a lot and we used to work together. She also had a mentally challenged son, and between the two issues people used to be so mean to her. And yet I think that it bothered those of us who were friends with her then it bothered her-except for the comments about her son. So, she just stopped speaking about her religion. She should not have had to because it is discriminatory for people to carry on the way that they did, but she didn't want to make a big deal of it.

@HazySue The coworkers and boss were making nasty jokes every day and my husband wouldn't go along with it. He told them why the last full day he worked, and got fired when made known he loved the Lord.

God knows why Johnny needed to move on, to a different job. Providing your family with a steady income, the Lord never missed a beat! He proves his faithfulness to us, every minute and all too often, it's not appreciated! You are walking close to him, so you are thankful for every single blessing! Josiah is definitely adorable, I'd love a hug from that precious little boy!
