Sometimes a lot of things happen in a couple of days.

Yesterday I went to Lili´s reading of her last book. I ended up giving Lili some cough drops so that she could finish her reading: everyone here has a cold. I went with Dixie and Humberto joined us at the reading and invited us out for dinner. Then I stayed at Dixie´s house overnight. Humberto had a meeting so after breakfast Dixie and I went out shopping. I bought a lot of gadgets that I didn´t really need. But I also bought 2 hot water bottles and that went for all of the unneeded things. After that, we went for a nice lunch and a capuchino. I really needed a cup of coffee as I had drunk a horrible decaf coffee at Dixie´s for breakfast. And to top it all, Claudia just called me and told me that they were looking to get the nationality of one of my grandparents (or great grandparents). As the planet changes into a global village, my grandchildren want to be able to move and study elsewhere without any problem. Carolina has found out, for the moment, that the easiest country to ask for nationality is Croatia, the native country of my maternal grandfather. So they are all studying Croatian since yesterday, but Claudia told me that I did not need to learn it because there was a special law for older people. It is incredible how things happen in less than 24 hours. What has happened in your world?

The nationality of your grandparents wouldn't have any affect on your current nationality unless you go there to apply for citizenship. Same goes for some of my hispanic friends whose great grand parents were from Mexico but their grand parents and parents are all US citizens so they no longer have that dual citizenship available to them.

They want to apply for citizenship. There are rules than can be met.

My better half made new cakes. I tasted it and it was delicious. I ate more than 4 pieces yesterday. Just now before breakfast I ate 2 more of her new cakes.

Claudia was so interested in learning a new language that I told her that I´d love to learn it with them although it wasn´t required that I learn it.

Croatia is the poorest country in Europe, why to apply for nationality there?? I would be concerned about my future.

You don't have to tell me but why would they want citizenship in Croatia - or anywhere else for that matter?

I don't think there will be a problem in getting the citizenship.
