I have some shocking news for you. :(

This just may be the hardest post I've ever done on MyLot as I am about to shock quite a lot of people. This post doesn't apply to everyone. Only some. *inhales deeply* This is a tough one. And again this only applies to some....and to those I am about to address...I am so sorry but.... ....the world doesn't revolve around you. I know, I know I am so sorry. Please sit down so you don't collapse and hit your head. I know we all have problems in our lives. A lot of things scare us, depress us, make us sad, annoyed, stressed....I know this is just too much to take in as I'm sure you thought you were the only one people should feel sorry for. But turns out, some people, no matter what they are going through, still take the time to ask others how they are doing. Some like to randomly send a message to other people to ask about their life instead of only talking about their own. Some like to do favours for others without any expectations. Some, though struggling to get their own lives figured out will take time out to help others around them. Now that you are aware that there are other people around you, please find attached some words / actions for you to research and practice. *Common courtesy *Common decency *Care for others *Sympathy & Empathy I think that will do for now. Best of luck my young grasshoppers.

Thank God most here do have and practice these things. If we all treated others as we want to be treated this world would be a very different place! Speaking of those things, how's your dad doing? And how are YOU doing?

@LovingMyBabies I agree. The majority of people here are just so brilliant and wonderful! And I agree with you even further in regards to how this world could be a better place. He is doing good thank you kindly. Though, we are still wondering when his next surgery is. My Nan also had a full hysterectomy the other day and a growth was found so we are worried about that now too. And me....I am just exhausted and stressed. Thank you very much for asking. What about yourself?

I think most people have that. I’ve received responses and PMs asking if I was okay after Kentucky’s had natural disasters, and I’ve certainly sent PMs to people asking if they were okay. But I have seen some “it’s all about ME ME ME” things here in the past couple of days, and it’s shocked me....and saddened me.

@VivaLaDani13 — that’s the same comments I’m referring to, and if that “situation” will affect their receipt of what’s in the upper right hand corner....

@FourWalls I agree. I know no one is perfect. I don't even know what "perfect" is anyway but some things that people do or don't do, as much as I try to understand why they are the way they are, it can still bother me. Especially when they are showing clear signs of selfishness. That was really sweet to receive concerning messages. I'm sorry I wasn't one of them as I didn't know anything about it. I'm wondering if you are speaking about the same comments I am venting about in this post. After a certain sad situation that has just taken place and was announced here on MyLot, there were some people who seemed more concerned about themselves.

@FourWalls I thought you may have been referring to that. And well said! It's just shocking with what some people say sometimes.

I am not sure what inspired you to write this, but I have noticed that some people are helpful, caring and empathic despite their own problems, and some people are only able to see their own pain.

@VivaLaDani13 Yes, some people are amazing. They go through a lot, but they still manage to help and support others. It is so nice to see that some people manage to do that.

@Porcospino How right you are! Yes there are many amazing people who are able to see and feel for others around them but there are others who can't fathom that others are in pain while only focusing on themselves. Nothing wrong with focusing on ourselves but when it's done in a selfish way, that bothers me.

@Porcospino I agree! It's always sweet to see people helping each other in general. But of course it shows more selflessness when people who are already struggling want to help others.

See trouble there Dani requesting sympathy and empathy from someone who feels no guilt and has no conscience does not work. I remember when I had to learn this difficult truth many years ago that there are actually people that feel no guilt that exist. Sad but true. They will never change for it is inbred into them. Evil lives. Thanks for your conscience and love of humans tho Dani you are a fine woman. Bless xo

@TiarasOceanView That is so very true! I have known people like that who just couldn't have sympathy or empathy. They were mostly selfish people whereas someone else I knew ( ex ) was probably just a straight up sociopath. All very well said and yep, evil does live for sure. Thank you SO very much! Made me feel good. As are you!

Kudos on speaking out. It is really a bit juvenile as to the actions of some. You just have to ignore it/them sometimes and go on with your life. We shouldn't dwell on the negative, but be happy and build others up, as well. If some don't live that way, we can't force them to. But we can all set an example. Take care and big hugs.

When I started reading, I told myself, damn what this girl wrote? because it seemed like you would say something horrible, but it wasn't like that. I finished reading and I think you only advise other people to understand that they are not the center of the universe. And that is not bad at all. I agree with you.
