Update On Hatley

For those of you who have been wondering about Hatley, I just spotted a message posted by her son. Unfortunately, I won't be able to copy / paste verbatim because of my laptop, but, essentially.....
Her eyesight and hearing is still very poor. The rehab center that she is staying at is only keeping her because it's against the law for them to throw her out. Her SSI is only covering about $1000 a month for the center, but they require more money... Her son, Robbie, says he has no evidence that they are mistreating her, but he also doesn't think they are really treating her at all...
It seems as if she will not be getting back on Mylot as her conditions worsen. Her son isn't sure whether the conditions are treatable, but he says that it appears as if they aren't doing anything for her medical wise.
So for those who were wondering...
*According to her son, the rehab facility is losing 87% of the profit for her bed....

I am very upset that Hatley may not be getting the treatment she should. I wonder if her son has contacted CANHR about his concerns. I'll post the website below. If anyone is in contact with him, please let him know and send it on.

He's in contact with @GardenGerty and @Myklj999 as far as I know, but he does post under his mom's log in on facebook, that's how I got this information.
I'm not sure that he's contacted anybody about his concerns, but I'll share this link under his latest update on her, Thank You.

I don't know.. You've only been on the site for this past year? She's been on for years, and has not been on for the past two years because of her health.

Yes, I don't like that she is stuck there and not really getting any help at all. I wish there was more we could do for her.

The update on her facebook? It's the same one that I had read.I am so sorry to hear how she is being treated, or not being treated actually. I really hope he can get her into another place, I know there's been some trouble with that. Some people do not believe he's trying as hard as he could, I don't want to assume or judge either way, I just worry about our friend.

@LadyDuck Oh yes, I did see her post here. Her social security check is paying part of the cost of that place, but not enough. It's so sad that she is going through this and I really wish there was more we could do. Another 'lotter posted a link to an organization that will help a person file a complaint against a nursing home. I posted that link to her facebook and hope that her sons sees it and does something like that. I'm not sure how much it would help, but she needs to be treated fairly regardless of whether she is able to pay.

@ScribbledAdNauseum No, not the update of her facebook, the post that she wrote here. He has no money to move her in another place, she has also no money to pay. It is sad how people are treated when they arrive at this stage of life.

Yes, I also enjoyed her kaleodiscopes (or however you spell that impossible word!). I really wish there was more we could do to help her.

I'm not quite sure exactly what kind of center it is. I think it's more of a rehab center, but it's also sort of a nursing home. Irregardless, she needs to be in a better, and hopefully cheaper, place. The hearing loss might be too advanced, or her eyesight might be too far gone, but they need to be doing something about it anyway.

She's not exactly okay... The rehabilitation / nursing facility that has her is only keeping her because it's illegal to throw her out. She may not be getting the care she needs, she's blind and deaf.

@JustBhem I think I am confusing you. She is at a facility, but the facility isn't helping her as well as they should be. She is there because they can not legally make her leave. Otherwise, she'd be kicked out because the facility is too expensive and she can't afford it.

She always had beautiful kaleidoscope images as her profile picture. She also always had typos because her vision wasn't very good. She's been offline for several years now and we sometimes get updates on her condition. It doesn't appear as if she will ever be back on mylot.

@amitkokiladitya Yes, she lived at Garden Grove and had a roommate that she didn't like very much. I think she had a fall and had to be taken to a different facility for rehab. Garden Grove (her old community) could no longer help her as she needed more medical help.
