are you the type who runs away from the stove everytime you fry as the frying oil splatters? im so afraid of it. so every time i fry, i turn off the stove first and let the oil cool before i flip the fish or chicken over. but i just wonder, how come some fryers dont experience this. like no oil splattering. any tips you would like to share?

I am not scared of frying, the important is that the food you are going to fry is perfectly dry. Use a deep pan so that the oil does not splatter out.

@Janet357 No, you cannot add flour to all food, I use paper towels to pat dry the food.

i agree with the perfecr dryness like.chicken and fish. i also add flour to minimize it but then you cannot add flour to all foods.

@Janet357 I don't avoid oil necessarily; just the bad ones (like vegetable and canola). Yeah, olive oil is fine...when I bake and a recipe calls for oil I use that.

My mother taught me to sprinkle water while the oil is being heated. If you do this, the oil will not splash when frying food.

We have an appliance called a FryDaddy for the rare occasion when we fry. It reduces splatter.

as shown on amazon dot com
@Janet357 The FryDaddy is a stand-alone electric appliance. We do use an electric stove here at home and a gas stove in the camper when we travel.

Wear eyeglass and armband but kidding aside just keep the fire low ( after heating oil) and put the stuff before turning the fire higher. Cover the food , when the frying sound stops take off the pan from the fire and turn the other side and put back the pan on the stove.

That's because when we cook that contains a lot of water, oil will bounce out then you can reduce the fire before cooking. And I just always keep my distance.

I've never been afraid of frying foods, or the splatter that sometimes happens when frying. In the southern United States, we like to fry a lot of our foods, so I'm used to all the splatter and grease. It doesn't bother me too much, although I don't like cleaning up the mess afterward!

Do not turn the heat up so high, you can wear long sleeves and gloves so it does not splatter.

Nope... I am not. But my bestie is, she always put things in a pan as if it's going to blast soon. Suggestion would be... Instead of putting it through hands put it through a long spoon or spatula.... Keeping your hands away and safe

If the food has the correct amount of moisture then the oil will not splutter. And you should use a pan with a lid so that you can keep the lid on for some time while the oil splutters.

it's very dangerous if it comes out but with slow flow, i don't think it will be a problem but we have seen many cases who met with an accident about what you talking so always be careful by keeping a distance from the stove.
