Summertime Treats: Popcorn

I have focused on fruit or outdoor treats so far in this thread, so I thought I would turn it around a bit. Popcorn was a favorite treat for me in the summertime whenever we settled down for some television time at night or even in mid-afternoon.
What is better than eating popcorn and watching a good movie or comedy? I can only think of a few, one of which is pizza and I would love a slice of deep-dish pizza right now loaded with toppings. I'm not hungry, but I think of food a lot, especially since I am watching what I eat.
I remember when I used to visit my grandmother in the summer. She lived with my aunt and uncle. When we watched television we had popcorn and Pepsi for a snack. It was my uncle's addiction.
Popcorn is inexpensive, easy to fix (especially since microwavable popcorn entered the market), not full of fat and excessive calories, and is enjoyed by just about everyone. I personally do not know anyone that does not like popcorn.

I love popcorn. In fact, reading your post about it has made me crave some, so I'm going to put down my laptop for a little while and run to the store and get some! lol

@kareng Last year at work, we had an unlimited popcorn. They have set up the pop corn maker machine that anyone can make their own popcorn.

used to love popcorn, 'lways made such'n the stove 'xcept when i 'twas workin' nights - then needed to rely'n the nukin' schtuff. can't partake'n such a pleasure now.

I eat popcorn frequently..probably at least 3x per week. I was thinking of buying some today as a matter of fact.
