A great day for a horse-ride

We are away from home with limited internet access so my notifications are building up and up. But I’ll get to them all eventually. In the meantime here is a photo from the endurance ride we attended on Saturday.
They were a bit short of volunteers so I ended up manning an open gate in the middles of farmland. It was my job to make sure no sheep came through the gate into the crop. The photo shows my view of the riders as they came along the fence-line.
They were able to stop and water their horses near me too so I took a lot of photos of my own. I really liked this one as it shows some of our magnificent trees. The riders all enjoyed the scenery they rode through.

Sounds like a wonderful time and the scenery certainly is postcard beautiful (as @LadyDuck mentioned)

how fortunate that'cha were there to help :) know such 'twas greatly 'ppreciated. i can see why they 'njoyed such, what beauty! still can't get o'er how green't'd be there, lol. those trees 're magnificent!

@JudyEv yes ma'am, fer certain! i hope they did, too. sometimes 't takes someone new to the area to renew that 'ppreciation? i know when i used to go to my buds ranch, he'd jest marvel 't all the beauty i pointed out (ya know, 'd to stop 'n take pics - lots 'n lots 'f pics, lol). said he'd turned numb to such, seein' 't daily.

@crazyhorseladycx When people visit us, they often comment on the stars whereas I tend to take them for granted. I try now to appreciate them more.

The photo looks as if it were a scenery painting ! I guess those trees are a sort of eucalyptus.

They look lovely, don't they? They are just big old eucalypts. There were dozens of them along the tracks that the riders took.

Yes, they do. You'd be right to ride with them as they all have to wear hard hats too. :) You could easily be tucked in a saddle bag.
