I didn't get the memo

I guess I didn't get the memo and I'm kind of upset about this. I guess my co-workers decided it was a good day to take off work. It's now 10 am and everyone should be into work by now and so far 4 of them have called in sick and I know one had a vacation day planned. That is going to leave just 3 of us here in my department.
It's not that bad cause I know it is going to be slow today but would have been nice to know everyone was taking the day off cause I would have taken it off too. I know it is going to be a long day since it is going to be so slow. I will have to find some work to do so hopefully the day will go by a little faster.
Have you ever had half your company take off work for no reason? Were you part of the group that was at work or the part that stayed home?
Well at least it is Friday and the weekend is here. Hope you all enjoy the weekend.

Yes I have had employees not show up because they wanted to go something else. I remember when I just gave everyone off from the 1st. through the 3rd. most just didnt show up so I took the days too.

No, because students show up to school no matter what, so we need to show up too.

Even if I knew people were going to be sick, I would have been one that showed up. My position uses substitutes for people who are out, IF any can be found.
