Do you eat the local food of the country you are traveling? Let's say, you go to Italy, do you eat their local food like spaghetti bolognese, pizza or pasta? Or when you arrived in Italy, let's say Rome, are you looking for a Chinese restaurant?
It happened already trice that when I travel with friends or relatives in Paris, Rome and England, they were looking for a Chinese restaurant, Filipino Restaurant, Jollibee or a McDonald.
When I am in Rome, I love to eat their yummy tuna pizza. When I am in the Philippines, I want to eat Pinoy food. When I am in London I want to eat their delicious breakfast. That is who I am.
How about you? Can you relate to me?
The photo is my lunch today with English bacon (which I bought in London), rice and veggies.

I have never been to another country but I would love to try local food first. Then I would love to try their other kinds of foods, other countries fast food seems so interesting and different.

I always eat the local food when I travel. I think it is exciting to eat food that isn't available in my country, and I want to try as many local dishes as possible

Well, I have only ever visited 2 countries: Mexico and The Bahamas. But if I ever visit another country I would do my best to try to eat the "everyday food" that the locals eat.

I always look firsthand for their national local cuisine, but if I'm going to stay for a couple of months or a long time, then the most likely thing is that I end up getting a Venezuelan Creole food restaurant

@thelme55 I don't know why sometimes we go to a place or settle in a country where most of us don't like local cuisine, but for some reason we always like their sweet hehe snacks or else, who doesn't like fruits, sweets or delicacies ?

@YuleimaVzla I can relate to what you have said. I live in Germany for almost 4 decades but I still don´t eat a lot of German food except their bread.

We were welcome in a welcoming dinner party. The next day i only ate bread from the hotel for a month. Then we were transfered to an apartment where we could cook our own national food.

Only bread and nothing else @yanzalong. I am glad you were transferred to an apartment where you were allowed to cook.

I usually try something new. Like when I went to HK a few years back, I have tried some authentic Chinese street food and it was delicious
