Do you eat the local food of the country you are traveling? Let's say, you go to Italy, do you eat their local food like spaghetti bolognese, pizza or pasta? Or when you arrived in Italy, let's say Rome, are you looking for a Chinese restaurant? It happened already trice that when I travel with friends or relatives in Paris, Rome and England, they were looking for a Chinese restaurant, Filipino Restaurant, Jollibee or a McDonald. When I am in Rome, I love to eat their yummy tuna pizza. When I am in the Philippines, I want to eat Pinoy food. When I am in London I want to eat their delicious breakfast. That is who I am. How about you? Can you relate to me? The photo is my lunch today with English bacon (which I bought in London), rice and veggies.

Well if you go to Italy AVOID spaghetti Bolognese because only tourists order that, order Spaghetti alla Napoletana instead. Yes, I always eat local food when I travel.

@thelme55 Pizza in Milan and Florence is not "local food", in Rome there are a lot of better things to eat than pizza. Eat a pizza if you go to Napoli.

When I was in Rome, Florence and Milan, I order only different kinds of pizza and other local food. They were delicious. I have not ordered spaghetti bolognese though. Thanks for the heads up @LadyDuck. I didn´t know that.

I have never been to another country but I would love to try local food first. Then I would love to try their other kinds of foods, other countries fast food seems so interesting and different.

Well, I have only ever visited 2 countries: Mexico and The Bahamas. But if I ever visit another country I would do my best to try to eat the "everyday food" that the locals eat.

I always look firsthand for their national local cuisine, but if I'm going to stay for a couple of months or a long time, then the most likely thing is that I end up getting a Venezuelan Creole food restaurant

@thelme55 I don't know why sometimes we go to a place or settle in a country where most of us don't like local cuisine, but for some reason we always like their sweet hehe snacks or else, who doesn't like fruits, sweets or delicacies ?
