We’ve had a busy couple of weeks trying to get to the bottom of my better half’s anemia. After visiting doctors and having tests and scans, they found he has cancer of the colon. But it’s stable and hasn’t spread so that’s good news.
We have more doctors visits this week and he must go to the hospital for his pre-op on Friday. The surgery takes place on August 20th. His surgeon says his blood will build up quickly after surgery. Hopefully he will be released from the hospital in four to five days. I’m so looking forward to getting back to normal.

Oh that is sad that the Big C is there. Expect a big fight on in the coming days. My mom was a victim of that and she fought back fiercely with that for a decade before her body gave up on it.
One secret I learned about that is positivism helps a lot in alleviating and keeping them at bay always. They are there but they cannot spread. Never lose hope and Faith in HIM helps too. Next is the medicines and treatment my mom used to take some Ascorbic Acid 1000g of it daily to keep her with strong immune system. I just forgot the medicine she was taking along with her chemotheraphy. I hope and pray that he will be able to survive it and live a strong one in the coming years.

We are but we're hoping for the best. We were at the hospital today to see his doctor and get more blood work, and he has an appointment to see another doctor tomorrow. We should complete everything Friday withe his pre-op and can rest until Tue. when he has the surgery.

So sorry to hear it was cancer, but luckily it was discovered and sounds like it will be treatable. My prayers are with you.

@RubyHawk I guess that's about the best news you could ever hope for when the big C is discovered. Catch it early and treat it immediately.

@moffittjc The surgery is in the morning at 7 and we have to be at the hospital at 5. We’ve been busy the last few days preparing. We are finally ready other than the two medical showers. One before he goes to bed and another in the morning. He’s been on clear liquids all day.
