More Bad News About the House

Apparently the builder doesn't want to pay for anything but the land that the house stands on, which is about 20% of the cost of the house. The realtor has some connections to get some of the needed work done. He says we need to get a dumpster, hire some people and have them empty out the rest of the contents of the house that the tenant left. Get someone with a brush hog to cut the 1 acre. Then we need to put a new roof on the house, fix the ceilings in both rooms, fix the wall in the one bedroom and waterproof the room off the garage. (We already had a ton of work done on the house including waterproofing the basement, installing carpet throughout, painting all the walls, installing a new furnace and a/c unit and a new vanity and tub insert in the bathroom.) Then after what we've already done plus what we need to do, he said to sell it as a "fixer-upper"!!! There is a piano and a heavy oak desk that will have to be trashed because no one wants to move them. Such a shame. My husband did apologize; but I'm still in sticker shock at the moment.
