Yesterday, I was hungry. I couldn't seem to go a few minutes without needing something to eat. I don't know what was up with that, but I did my best to keep my calories low, even though breakfast was my greatest calorie count for the day. I think I did okay overall. Today is much better. So far, I'm content with my breakfast. So, here are yesterday's numbers. Calories: 925 Sugar: 47.8 Carbs: 158.6 Protein: 35.9 Sodium: 754 Fat: 23.05 It really helped that I didn't have any calorie-laden food in the apartment or sweets to add to my food woes. I managed to eat healthy, even if I ate a lot. I'm pretty happy with the results. How did your day go with food and exercise? Thanks for reading. Image courtesy of Pixabay.

I am hungry all day long, and always craving a snack, so I usually keep nuts or fruits with me to snack on. I love snacking on walnuts and almonds, which are very healthy for you. I always like to mix up what I snack on so for example I might snack on walnuts one day, pineapple the next day, and maybe sunflower seeds the day after that. I just like to keep a good healthy variety of snacks in my repertoire.

@just4him I was just reading somewhere earlier that almonds are the healthiest of all the nuts, because they are technically not nuts at all. Not sure how many calories they have, but almonds are what I snack on the most.

@moffittjc I just looked because I keep them on hand - a quarter cup is 170 calories. Walnuts are 180 per ounce.

That's a good thing to do. I would need to be very active to eat nuts on a regular basis as they are loaded with calories.

Calorie wise that is not too bad. I do have days when all I want to do is eat. I try to go pretty heavy on protein in the morning and find it helps. Sometimes, nothing helps.

I eat light in the summer. Will go out every now and then but mostly eat in moderation. Have a good day!

You did very well with your calorie count..Unfortunately, what we think of as healthy foods, are not always the lowest in calories.

Yesterday I was hungry for just about anything that is not good for me. My appetite, is back. But when I have food in front of me, it doesn't appeal and I don't eat much.. Maybe I should stay on this medicine longer, to curb my eating. You seem to be doing really good to me.

Some days it does seem like you are hungry all day. I usually have a large glass of water first then I'm often able to wait a while before eating.

I would say you did great in spite of wanting food. Me too yesterday actually. Like I couldn't get enough to eat. Go figure. Craving red meat

Then you can be so sure you wouldnt gain weight then. I ate noodles, fruit shake, cheese sticks, rice and pork, and sauteed greens in olive oils and spices. Most of the foods i ate were healthy. Am not sure with cheese sticks, they were loaded with mozzarela cheese

Your numbers do look pretty good! That's good that you had things that were low calorie....that definitely can keep that number way down!

Can a calorie count be too low? I certainly had a lot to eat yesterday. Most of it for breakfast. I tried for low-calorie foods for the rest of the day.

You are very detailed about the food to be eaten. Maintaining health, especially diet, is something that is serious for you. My body remained weak despite eating. Maybe I should pay attention to my diet and the nutritional content of the food I eat. Thanks for sharing.

I need to in order to lose the weight I need to lose for the knee surgery I need. The doctor won't do it if I don't lose weight.
