The Fog is Not Lifting Yet

We began this September 1 morning with intense fog and a temperature of 60 F. That is less that 17C.
It is 9 a.m. Again I slept soundly for several hours last night.
My second load of laundry is in washing. One load is dried and I need to fold it.
This cool weekend does not really mean summer is over, only that we have a bit of a respite.
I have included a picture of the fog on the field, facing North from my house. It was so dense the flash went off on the camera.
I have pulled out the dead sunflowers from where the birds dropped seeds as well as the millet that sprung up. And sorghum, I think it is.
I will probably fill feeders for the birds starting this week. I will miss being at home to watch their antics, but we really need the paycheck.
Hubby is resting and reading today.

glad yer gettin' a bit 'f a respite from the heat, hon. fog 'tis rare here, but when 't comes 't tends to stay fer a bit. which's nice'n a way, coz we'll take any moisture we can get.
hope ya don't work too hard. hear ya'n feedin' the critters 'n watchin' 'em. 'lso know 'bout needin' that paycheck.

They ate off the volunteer plants that they had planted here. I made sure there was water.

@GardenGerty They have "seeded" sunflowers everywhere, I am collecting the seeds now. They ate a lot of the berries that grow here around, blackberries and raspberries.

The fog seems to be thick with poor visibility.Why didn't you let the millet and sorghum alone,whose seeds can feed the birds?

It looked messy where it was. It is now in back in my compost area. Birds and other animals come eat there. I was glad I was not driving in the fog.

I have been lazy about hanging out the wash this summer. That needs to change. Using the dryer heats up the house and uses too much electricity, but we do it anyway.
