I need something sweet and I need it now

It's a good thing there are no sweets in the house because I know for a fact that I would not be able to resist them.
My husband and I both realized this is the only way we're going to keep losing a few pounds (he's lost 24 pounds!)
I made a smoothie with frozen peaches, strawberries, lemon popscicles, and orange juice, but it's just not chocolate walnut fudge.
Oh, the cruise was cancelled, now we're hoping we don't get much from Hurricane Dorien.
I need to get up and do something to get my mind off desserts. I have a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, but even though they're gluten free, they still have too much sugar.
Hmmm. Chocolate chips. In the fridge.
See ya'

Go for dark chocolate . . good for the heart. No sweets for me coz I am scared of diabetes. I eat lots of veggies and fruits instead . .

I take some semisweet chocolate chips and melt them in the microwave and add some sour cream and a pinch of salt. The ultimate chocolate treat.

@1creekgirl it is awesome, adult and very chocolatey, it is a tiny version of the James Beard frosting that I love. and because of the semi-sweet chocolate, it is not too sweet.

24 pounds is really good. You are right not having the chocolate around will not tempt you. I hope Dorien will go past you. Good luck with whatever you make.

I know just what you need. There is a Weight Watchers Chocolate Chip recipe that is only one point I guess that is per cookie. I plan on making them at some point.

I made a small batch of gluten free chocolate chip cookies with pecans and a little coconut. Not as good as the real kind, but not bad. I wonder how many calories are in the Weight Watchers recipe.

It is so hard to resist those sweets Vicki. In my case they seem to call out to me. With a birthday coming up and cake and ice cream accompanying it I will succumb for sure. And I already had a pre-b-day celebration over Labor Day weekend. So for now the sweets have won out but I plan to stop...well, right after all that cake is gone
P.S.- I have not found a cookie chip cookie I don't like especially homemade!

We'll reschedule the cruise for another time. We're praying the storm will head on out to the east. I'm not making any promises about the chocolate chips.

Too bad the cruise was canceled. Hope you can get your mind off of desserts. I keep yogurt with peaches around and have that when I crave something a bit sweeter. We are also being warned about Dorian but I figure the Lord will watch over us and I really hate it when everyone tries to terrify me. My friend downstairs takes everything so seriously she is now hysterical and what good can that really do?

I've eaten chocolate chips right out of the bag when I'm craving something sweet and there's nothing to have.
Sorry to hear about the cruise but you certainly don't want to be caught in the hurricane
