I Think I Might be Dead

I woke up this morning in a dream world state. Nothing seemed real and nothing worked. My electric griddle would not heat up. I had to run the instant pot twice to cook some eggs to take if I have to evacuate. Either I am overstressed worrying about a hurricane and an ailing family member, the electric is in brown-out mode because they are diverting the electricity somewhere else, or possibly, I am dead. What do you think? Did you ever feel that way?

I love doing hardboiled eggs in the Instant Pot. They peel so easily.

I make almost anything in my instant pot. I can make pasta in it, all kinds of things and most things only take minutes.

@NJChicaa I make the boxed ones. It is a box of the macaroni and water, butter, milk, and the bag of cheese mix. You can find directions online. A box lasts me two or three days if I mix in some meat and a can of veggies.

@akalinus I made pasta once in the IP but wasn't happy with it. It was too mushy

@Shivram59 Thanks, the danger for us is passed for this storm but pray for people up the east coast of the US. Some of them might still be in danger. I pray for people in the path of any storm anywhere.

Based on you posting this discussion you are quite likely alive. I imagine it is a brown out of some sort. I am sorry you have so much stress. It may be that your brain is suffering a brown out as well.

That could be. I never thought about a brain brown-out. As the hurricane is getting worse, so is my brother in another state. I just got an email that things are not good.

That is very odd about the electric appliances but hopefully, it is just a passing thing and they will be back working soon.

@akalinus I figured in my case since they were all purchased together they will probably all die together

Someone suggested that it was my mind in a fog and the appliances are okay. What are the chances of everything failing at once?

I guess that means you haven't been evacuated yet. Do you know if you will still have to go? I guess it depends on what happens with Dorian.

I would need to get a ride to the school or hole up in the church. I still have keys from when I worked there all those years but don't know if I would have permission. I am afraid to ask because if I can't stay there, I can't pretend I did not know.

When you feel that way, do you find out that things you use almost every day suddenly don't work?
