Snapdragons

I managed to get outside for about an hour today while mom was resting. What did I do? I planted some flowers, namely Snapdragons. This was a packet of seed I had with a variety of colors or multi-colored Snapdragons in it. I'm hoping the seed are all still good and we have some flowers growing in the next few weeks. I could use a bit of color here since the heat is about to wipe out my begonias. Photo Credit: Pixabay, public domain

@Tampa_girl7 I am planting, crocus, hellebore and snow drops. We have witch hazel in the garden, it smells good in winter.

@moffittjc I sure hope so. At first, I thought they were having trouble settling into a new environment but they did get that smoothed out. Then in the second half I felt like they had actually held back a little bit. In the 4th those TD's just seemed too easy.

@kareng Very proud of your Tigers last night. They put a whoopin' to Texas. And damn, they look strong! LSU is going to give Alabama a run for the money this year!

It was one of the favorites by the garden crew at work for that very reason when I worked for State Buildings and Grounds. Best perk of that place was fresh flowers on your desk often and being able to bring plants home when flower beds were dug up.

It will take a couple of weeks (15-18 days) to see if they sprout. Then we will have to wait another 60+ days for flowers at least.

hopefully the seeds 'll still germinate. i've done such with ones that've been years passed their 'use by' date with great success. can't recall how long 't takes fer such to blossom from seed? hopefully the wait'll not be too long. here i can 'nly grow begonias if'n such's done 'ndoors. they dislike our dry heat'n winds.

True. I imagine after two years the percentage goes way down. They should be fine is they do sprout and germinate because we don't usually get a freeze here until sometime in November.

I always buy mums in purple and gold, the colors of the LSU football team. What color(s) do you usually get or do you change them up?

Hopefully, you have a fresh pack and not old like mine were. I'm not going to but a lot of faith in them. I am going to get my mums here soon. Gotta support those Fighting Tigers with Purple and Gold mums
