Sometimes different songs have very interesting titles. This song was made popular by Dean Martin in 1964 and was quickly picked up to be recorded by many other artists. You could say that “Red Roses For a Blue Lady” is a song that you like because of the artist that is singing it I enjoyed Dean Martin’s version so that is the one I choose. The song was written in 1948. If you like easy listening music like this then I think you will enjoy this song. It was unfortunate for many of the artists like Dean Martin that when rock and roll came around they lost many listeners who liked the new genre. However the music and songs have survived time and there are many of them, like this song that are still worth listening to. Those old standards never go out of style. Even old rockers like Rod Stewart did an album of standards. I like Dean's version of Volare and That's Amore too. And we can't forget his version of that Christmas classic, "Baby It's Cold Outside."
